is it sponsor who has to link the account or principal applicant has to do it by themselves to link the account?

Try refreshing the page, for a lot of peolpe that fixed the problem.
My PR application is still on "pending registration" but owp application says submitted.
I'm hoping it'll fix itself as soon as they move on to the next step in the application.
You should have your AOR in the next couple of weeks . Right now mid Feb applicants are receiving the AORs.

Hi. For February inland applicants so far, the normal time period between submission and AOR ranges between 45-48 days.

You can also do a quick check on ecas when you are within the waiting range.

(I was able to check status from the above link using the sponsor's UCI and sponsor's information)
You can also call CIC and speak to a representative to get an update. In your case, you can try asking if your application is complete and whether or not it will be returned to you (in case it's missing a form, signature, etc). The average waiting time is 30 minutes and you must call with a Canadian number .

AOR received on March 28. But I could not link to the application. I have called CIC, sent email, but nothing fixed. Tried so many times. Anyone has any idea? How to communicate with CIC if I could not link to my account?

Just checked my GCKey and it says my OWP has been approved!

OWP Approved - April 1 (I just hope CIC doesnt send me an email saying "April Fools!" Jkjk)
I didnt get Medical Request yet and in my application it says that they're already checking my background even tho my Sponsor didnt even get an approved email yet

Congrats! I said exactly the same about it being an April fools day joke when I seen they had approved my OWP.
Grats to everyone getting their work permits so fast!
Do you think I can call the CIC and inquire about the status of the work permit, same as inquiring about the AoR? Linking it can be faulty at times and I wanna inquire about it later in the week.

I was wondering, do you need any documents after your OWP has been approved, or can you start working right away?
Has anyone noticed their application status on ECAS change to "In Process" without having received their AOR email yet? I noticed it changed today, but we haven't received any communication, but the only info once I click on it is that they received it on Feb 13. Is that a good sign though that it has changed to In Process?

You need the physical copy of the OWP (should arrive by mail about a week after the online approval) and then you'll be able to get your SIN number at a Service Canada center. You can start working after that
