As today march 8, 2019; I officially become Canadian citizen after a fast track processing accepted on January 25 due to an employment contract with the federal government. It was faster than I expected...

Good luck everyone.

Congratulations! Just quick questions...What are the acceptable reasons for fast track processing? And how did you request for a fast track processing?

I need a proof of citizenship to change my contract from casual to a term. Which mean I was about to lose my job since I could have 2 casual job at the same department.
I sent to them a copy of the casual contract as well.

Let IRCC knows about your trip, so that they will schedule your next step accordingly. If not, you may be willing to go back to Canada in a short notice period in order to do your next step: Test or oath ceremony.
Did you already get the test ?

No I have not got the test. I am in Mississauga, and it seems it may be another few months for the test. If I inform them Will IRCC delay my processing let me come back for a few days just to appear in the test

You have just two options, tell IRCC and they will put a hold on to any test invite until u return.

Dont tell IRCC and they will send u test invite in normal course and you will have any where between a week or a month between invite and actual test.

Now call is urs to make which option u would like to take

Did you really read my post?
Tell them, your file will be on hold until you come back.
Don't tell them, you have to be ready to come to Canada in a short period notice.

Hi

If you are going out of Canada for more than 2 weeks in a row then you MUST inform IRCC about your travels. It is regardless of whether it will delay your application or your intention to come back on short notice to take the test or oath. Good luck!

I took my test on Feb 15 and now I’m asked to provide additional documents including French class attendance records etc.
