Experienced folks, appreciate your guidance on Financial Evaluation of Sponsor form, Question 14 that requires:
Provide your employment history as well as periods of unemployment for the last THREE consecutive taxation years preceding your application. Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time.

I worked in the same place for the last five years, should I only have one line, or do it by calendar year?
If one line, not sure which income to put.
If by calendar year, I don't have my income for 2018 yet. Does it mean I cannot apply until I submit my taxes?
Provide your employment in one line like this: Employer XXYYZZ from 2014 JAN TO present.

As for the salary, you can provide 2015,2016 and 2017 for now. You can provide 2018 NOA when you have one. I’m not sure what they’re going to do in 2019 PGP. But, CIC created two income sources forms for 2018 PGP: one for people who have 2017 NOAs and one for those who do not have one yet.

I’d just provide what you have and then send along SIN number, so CIC can go in and check it from CRA directly.

Active TB inadmissable. Has to be treated and followup tests including xrays etc have to unequivocally show absence of activity before immigration allowed.
Yup. I’ve read the whole thing. There’s a thread with details information. He’s not been found to have active TB. That’s why he’s going through tests. But, it’ll still take 3 more months.

Another question - under permanent residence application status when I click 'application received' it only says my father's name, not my mother's name. Is this normal?
Yes. It will only show principle applicant. But, if you check your status in MyCIC/GCKey (click on submitted application), you will see both of their names.

Exactly in the same boat
my status in last few weeks

in process in process

app received in process

app received app received

no change in online status.

No idea what is going on. Line no 166 in spread sheet
It means they’re working on it guys. Until you get “decision made” email from CIC, none of those status changes matters. But, you can at least take pleasure in knowing that someone has been working hard to get your sponsorship approvals to you guys.

Friends , looks like many from Round 2 have received In Process status for Ecas.
Hopefully others like me also see it soon.
Need you help friends,
I have been trying to upload the form IMM 5475 E: Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual form on Web form but not able to . My parents have signed and scanned the form.
Also other question is should they also fill the IMM 5476 Use of Representative form? I have noticed that their address in India is not shown correctly on ECas
Please suggest what to do and how to upload forms online.
I am worried that since I have not yet submitted the Use of Representative form, will that delay the process.

I have successfully submitted Interest to Sponsor form at 12:04PM and hope to get the invitation in the first lot. My parents and I are starting to prepare the documents.
  1. Can someone clarify if photocopies of all original documents need to be notarized?
  2. Should we submit original of Marriage Affidavit or a notarized copy?
Thanks in advance..

1- do not think so - if you are talking about copies of passports, etc.
2 - notarized copy would be the safest and easiest. I would not send any originals. I am not sure CIC has a mechanism to send those back to you.

Hey Guys,

I'm here from 2019 thread. Actually has always been here since 2017.... Never got selected.

This year i was able to submit the form and am in 20 k.

Just had few questions from you guys:

1) How long is the whole process is taking right now? I know website says 24 months but how long is it taking in general especially for ndvo?

2) When you guys initially submitted the file what documents did you needed for mom dad and brother(20)? I was going India in feb so just wanted to bring it back with me. Shall i ask them to do pcc at this point? I assume would be getting invite in feb.

Thank you all.
Not sure if anyone replied to this.
On 1 - check the spreadsheet to see how things are moving through NDVO.
On 2 - check the last year document checklist to see what is required. 2019PGP document list is not yet out but you should assume it is the same or substantially the same documents - copies of passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, photos. No need to send PCC at this time. It says it right on the document checklist at the end.

They usually just put the file on hold until the person gets treated uff someone has active TB.

Seems that people have been asked to send a copy of the death certificate so you might as well include upfront to save time and getting an additional request. I do not think Canadian consulate is the right place. If the document is not in English, certifications are done by certified translators who know the language of the original document (of which a copy is made) and can certify that the content of the translation they have made matches the text in the original language.

Thank you for you reply, How Immigration officer will know if translator back home is certified or not??

This may vary by country but as far as I know the translator includes the details of his or her certification on the translation itself. Then signs the translation.
