November 2018 Outland Applicants (Spousal Sponsorship)

I haven't had SA approval or medical request yet and I'm from the UK (the PA). I will insert just a section of the letter as it was quite long:

"You need to take this letter with you and go in person to any biometric collection service point to have your fingerprints and photograph taken. • If you are outside Canada or the United States, you may go to any Visa Application Centre (VAC) most convenient to you."

They did mention that you can't do it at a Canadian airport (only students and workers are able to do that upon arrival). Also just a note, we paid for biometrics with the initial PR fee so if you didn't do that I imagine you get a payment request first

edit: There is only one VAC in the UK which is in London, according to the IRCC website.

Im in the same situation as you just AOR and Bio-Metrics request today, haven't received SA or medical

I got AOR 1 on the 16th of Jan. My sponsor approval say in process on ECAS. Application was received on the 15th of Nov 2018. Anyone in the same boat as I am. it reads we started processing your application January 10th 2019.

We just noticed through ecas using my husband's info (the sponsor) that it says 'Decision Made' for sponsor approval (I don't know when this changed as we haven't been checking his side!) but when we click on it, there isn't any indication as to what the decision is? Can anybody help?

Also on my side (the PA) it says:

1. We sent you a letter on January 27, 2019. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Do you think that would be the biometrics that I received via email yesterday?

Yeah that's the biometrics request .

Who should create account on CIC, the Sponsor or the Person to be Sponsored? I have PR and I sent sponsorship for my wife.

When shall I link my sponsorship application to CIC Account? After 5 days Or when I receive the AOR? Please advise...

When you get your AOR. But you can try using your receipt number, sponsors surname, date of birth and place of birth to access ecas. It worked for some people

If you're checking ECAS and not getting anything don't worry, as mine didn't work with the receipt number. It lets me in now with the UCI / Application number.
