I hope we are done with this - as this is not the place. But in case we are not - I think Warsan Shire said it best:He won't stop this topic. Indirectly calling us haters..We pray to GOD please keep away fraudulent immigrants incl illegal /FAKEs entering from BACK DOORS in to our country so Canada does not have to spend millions on them, returning them etc etc. And we all dont have to pay much more in taxes as a result. Absolutely! Canada, like every other western country are a nation full of LEGAL immigrants that went through the legal immigration process (Medical exams, background checks, financial situation, etc...) like all of us on this thread are presently going through with our immigrant spouses. As a Canadian Tax Payer we have every right to be outraged as we have a substitute drama teacher (Mr Peoplekind and not mankind) pretending to be a prime minister but he is really a United Nations Puppet as he does things like gives $10.5 million dollars of Canadians tax payer money to known terrorist (Khadr) and obviously does NOT put Canadian citizens first.
Canada wants good immigrants like all of YOU and YOUR SPOUSES that are going through the legal process (and we know it can be frustrating for some) as we don't want to end up like Europe that has 1,000 "no go zones" in their once peaceful western nations and a major drain on the tax payer money because they didn't vet properly. Regardless of a humanitarian crisis you never put the safety of your own citizens AT RISK... EVER!!! This is a reason why the Yellow Vest movement is finally popping up in France now as people have had enough of their completely INEPT leadership. Many of us just don't want Canada to end up in the same situation with our INEPT Prime Minister (Mr FAKE EYE BROWS) doing similar things as these inept globalist European leaders have done.
This is about bringing in good immigrants that go through the whole immigration process like all of us and our spouses that makes Canada GREAT as we have many different cultures around the world living peacefully in Canada and we want to keep it that way with our great quality of life and not what we see happening in Europe.

Me and the wife are in the Philippines where it is too hot outside but I am more than happy to take it outside (politically speaking) for the sake of the thread.This is Canada......Too cold outside!!

a heads up guys, depending on what country you are working with (in this case Philippines), the cost for getting a couple medicals done, glasses (they want you to bring glasses to the appointment), shots, hotel, flight tickets etc to handle all the medical stuff, is probably gonna end up costing me north of 1,000 dollars Canadian. and you only have 30 days to get back to them. so start thinking about that now! don't be like me, i'm scrambling here

There's definitely some sticker shock - Cuba as well - $405 each (and I have my husband and my son coming). And we are coming up on renewal of the police checks as well. Not a cheap process, and lots of hidden surprises in the costs.
I would also recommend to everyone bringing over someone from a different climate - shop the sales on coats, winter boots etc. This isn't my first rodeo and I can tell you that you are going to want to do that - to at least provide your significant person the basics - until they figure out their own style and get accustomed to shopping here. Think about extra insurance fees, extra health plan costs and dental costs, they'll want a Canadian cellphone, they may want to watch all the Real Madrid Club games - so you pay for a special cable channel (haha - that'll be me) transit passes, gym passes, memberships to things that you currently do, extra bedding in some cases - it all adds up! And then there are English classes, and college....save now!
