Hello All,

July 30 Applicant - COPR received 6th Dec.

Just wondering, what's the duration for making first trip to Canada after receiving COPR ?
( I believe the duration mentioned on the COPR)

Hi.

I have a couple questions If anyone could provide clarity/ links.
My bf and I met 2 years ago while he was on a holiday visa in Toronto. ( he is Irish I am Canadian) his visa has since expired and he has returned to Ireland. I have recently moved to ireland to be with him on a 2 year visa. I plan to sponsor him to return to Canada in the coming years. We are currently living together in Ireland. (We did not share a home in Canada) •would I sponsor him as a conjugal or common law partner ?
• Hé is currently on partial social assistance however not claiming me under house hold resident. I have been here 2 months so far Will this affect things in terms of living common-law.

Must We live together a year to be considered common law but then be living as common law partners for a year on top before sending our application ?

Anything helps guys. Thanks in advance.

Are you opposed to marriage? Reason is the financial liability from a sponsorship point is the same if there is separation. Common law you need to reside together for a year and have a host of items to prove you're common law where as marriage is simply being married and proving the genuiness of the relationship.

Marriage is the best option for you based on your explanation. To qualify as a common law partner you must have cohabited for a year. you don't need to have much pple to be present on your welding day but the marriage certificate is the key and prove of genuineness of the relationship.

More also, try to find out from your partner if he had never filled married in his previous application if he did, definitely he had to get a divorce certificate to ease your application. wish you best of luck.

Hi guys! Could someone help me please. I'm from the philippines but our file was transferred by sydney office to cpc mississauga visa office instead of manila visa office. What does that mean? And i still haven't received any email that our bgc has started. Medical passed november 14,2018.
