her PR and TRV are totally different process and approval criteria are different . Your wife should have stronger ties in India , Adequate financial status . if you are sponsoring her on PR of course she is coming to meet you rather than tourism .

When did you apply for her PR?
What is the processing status?

But we plan to go to honeymoon to USA and Niagra falls.
This will probably not work as the purpose of her visit.

I have not even AOR ..very early stage of PR.
I suggest you must wait. Don't apply at this point in time. Generally, chances of a TRV approval are low as it would seem like the spouse wants to avoid the PR processing time in his/her home country

Hi Bryanna

I had applied TRV for my wife. She has got passport request , However at the time of filling application, I had stated that she will visit canada for a week.Do you think she would get a stamping of 10 year multiple entries or does CIC even stamp for a week/month ?

The validity of the TRV could be for a few weeks to the maximum of until passport expiry (not 10 years). That said, as she has a PR application in process, the TRV validity will most likely be for one year

Hi,
Can you provide me the details of the documents you submitted for TRV and template of the letter showing that she will only visit for 1 week.
I am in same situation.

I did not submit any specific document .I just gave an itinerary of 1 week ( visit to toronto ) and that's it.
