Hi there, would you mind posting a screenshot of your GCKey status ? Just the "Details about your application status" section without any personal particulars. Would be most helpful. Thank you!

If you have trouble uploading here, you could upload the screenshot to imgur.com and post a link here. Appreciate it.
Sorry I totally forgot about it brother. Here is it

Hi
Just a question for those who have their parent's passport stamped. How long is the validity for the visa?
It is 1 year from your parents medical date.

Hello All,

Has anyone's parents submitted their passport in India? My parents got passport submission request initially to Ottawa office. As currently they are in India so we requested them to send us the passport submission instructions in India. To my surprise today I received another passport submission email from Hong kong office detailing the passport submission instructions to Hong kong office. Could they have sent this second email by mistake?

Anybody else here who received passport submission request initially to Ottawa office and have requested IRCC for instructions of some other country later?

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Hi all,

Any inputs on this please?

To me it looks like a human error on IRCC part. I'd sugest to call/write to them and ask to resend the letter with request to send passports to the Immigration Section of Canadian Embassy in your parents' country.
Yeah it seems like a human error. I have filled out ircc web form again. Hopefully i should get reply again. Thank you lot for your inputs. I really appreciate.

Seems like an error to me too. You might also want to try contacting the vfs office near your parents. See if they can be of any help.Be it Hong Kong or India they're the ones that submit to the immigration dept. of the consulate. Just need the letter, passports and photographs to mail it out to them.
Thank you for your inputs. That's a good idea. Ultimately it is gonna be vfs office who will be submitting passport to consulate in india as well. And the email which i got grin hong kong office also mentions about vfs office . I will wait for another email or will try calling ircc on monday.

Just let you know, I have checked email for PPR for my mother back in 2017, I got the email from Delhi office, despite the fact that, my mother was already in Canada.

So even i had got the email from Delhi Office, i had submitted the Passport in Ottawa.

May be in the letter some where it should have mentioned that, submit the passport to CIC office near to you... double check that..

Panel doctors will not have discretion on decision. Medical Officer does. If your dad goes in remission, I think it should be ok. If not, not sure.
I heard from a lawyer, depends on stages of cancer. If it is terminal, the decision might be different. Each case is treated unique and there is no one size fits all.
I think at this point there is nothing in your power to control. As much as I know it is hard, just breathe. I am in the same boat.
I am worried about my mom's medicals too. Not cancer, but disability.
I hope your dad recovers soon. Sorry to hear that!

Thank you. All the best with your mom as well. I hope we all become successful with this and get reunited with them soon
