Hi!
I'm returning to Canada after a 2-year working holiday to live with my girlfriend until she finishes next semester when we'll come back here as she spends a working holiday over here in the UK with me. My Eta is approved and I don't need a visitor visa as a UK citizen. However, I was reading up on what to expect upon arrival as I haven't been through the process as a visitor before (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/prepare-arrival.html) and noticed that I need to convince the immigration officer that I will be leaving upon the end of my approved Eta for me to actually enter the country. Because I'm planning on leaving for an extended period of time I have left work and don't have a return flight as I may extend my stay as a visitor, or we may leave early, depending on how school goes for her. What kind of proof can I provide in order to show them I will be leaving, will the fact that I left upon the end of my previous visa support me in any way? As I am staying with my girlfriend I am bringing very little money with me as her parent's support her other than a monthly allowance from my parents I won't be bringing anything with me. I originally assumed once my Eta was approved I was in the clear now I'm starting to doubt it.
Thanks to any help in advance

One thing you certainly want to do is bring enough funds with you to be able to support yourself during your visit. So bringing very little money isn't a good plan. Can you change that? Even if you are staying with someone, IRCC will want to see you have your own funds.

Would a statement of my English funds be sufficient? or would I need to physically be bringing the money with me in Canadian currency, if so I could quite easily just bring a copy of that - I just don't plan to use it

If so what would be a good amount to bring? (For a 6 month period, as that's as long as my visa can be approved for)

Highly doubt you would face any issues since you are from the UK, maybe print out a bank statement just in case and have a credit/debit card, cash is not a requirement.
