Hey guys,

I have a quick question. In list all your names section, i only listed my nick name, not my legal name, since I thought my legal name was already filled at the beginning of the application. I also marked my nick name as nick name in the list. Is it necessary to list my legal name in list all your names section as well? The current situation is they are using my nick name in my AOR email. I’m not sure if they thought that’s my legal name or it’s normal to use nick name in their email. Does anyone have similar situation? Is it normal?

If you refer to the spreadsheet, AORs have still not been given for a few applications delivered Jul 16-Jul 19. If by next week you don't receive an AOR, and if you're worried, feel free to call them (number on this thread recently) and ask if they have your application.

why did you provide your nick name? Is it a name used in any legal communications or documents?

It’s not used in any offical docs. But I use it in my company. That’s why I put it there in case they call my company for background check.

Just FYI, I called the CIC, they said at this point there is nothing to worry about since I mentioned that it’s my nick name in the application form. They will contact me if they thought that’s my legal name and of course won’t match my ID. I guess I will just wait and see.
