Hi Alsterix&Caterina,

My wife and I were the September 25th applicant, and we received AIP as PA & SA last friday (September 13th).

The emails was sent from the Vancouver office so I am guessing our applications were among the ones that were sent out to Vancouver office. I contacted the CIC earlier last week as well as I was curious to where we were at, and they told me we should be expecting everything by the end of the month. At the moment, on ECAS, I can see that my status has changed to DM, and my wife's still in process. I hope we can have it all finalized soon.

Where did you apply? I hope all works out, I know the wait is long but we are all so close to the end!
Thanks, we are in Toronto and when I called last week they said the application is in BC...

ok that is promising. But how much time did you have left on your application when you travelled?

Also, did you need an ETA? I initially entered on a working holiday visa in 2015 which was extended by 2 years (expires April 2019) but this was before the mandatory ETA came in. after looking online it seems because i have the work visa i don't need an ETA, but it's a bit confusing...
You do need an ETA only PR and Citizen's are exempt.

I am almost certain I did. I do think that once my OWP arrived, my ETA was updated automatically. But I always had a valid one. Only takes a short time to fill out online anyways.

Our application is Nov 16th
They requested fingerprints to me too in September 4th (email letter).. we got them done the next day at the RCMP and they sent directly the results.. yesterday (September 17) our status changed to Decision made on both sponsor and applicant on ECAS.. so now we are just waiting... when we log in into CIC it says they are reviewing the additional documents requested and it does not say a decision has been made yet.
