They have TWO VACS in Jamaica one in Mobay and one in Kgn .. I know for a fact before the VACs they used to put immigration on hold or "go slow" because when my parents were doing the immigration process I went to apply for a visiting visa, and during my interview the officer brought up the immigration file and told me my family was approved for immigration and when we told her that we didn't know .. she said yeah they will contact you at the end of the summer when the bulk of student and visiting visas are completed. did that interview JUNE ... didn't hear from them re immigration until AUGUST ..

I know KVO also processes other islands as well its not just Kingston .. I believe they are responsible for cayman Barbados and one other country ...


the VACS should relieve some of this pressure though .. so idk .. but I'm praying they are working hard on immigration nd February applicants will be hearing from them in JULY!!

I'm praying for the February applicants too... so they can hurry up and move to April applicants well we will see how this goes

Hey ya'll was on the immigration website like I always am lol and i came across this outline of how they process our applications hope this helps some new comers to this group


If you’re applying for permanent residence or to sponsor a family member

"What happens after I send in my application?"

We will:

• review your application to make sure it’s complete
• decide if you are eligible to sponsor
• decide if you are eligible to apply to become a permanent resident of Canada
• tell you when we start processing your application,
• tell you how to get a medical exam, if you did not get one before sending in your application
• do a security screening, to make sure all applicants do not pose a risk to the safety and security of Canadians
• decide if you need to go to an interview
• tell you of the decision we make on your application

Tomorrow i will know what package was sent from KVO because i got mad and told them to send back my daughters passport!? I said to them i am a mother and i am NOT leaving my daughter to the elements. My mother said Tara called her so?

You ever feel like enough is enough. They dont get it its better for family to be reunited in the summer time so you can get use to the weather gradually rather than the shock of winter.......school for the children....

Girl dont make the devil draw you out... just see it as a test from God him self. KVO should know about pressure cause I'm sure them feel it them self. It's wrong for me to say this but I feel it depends who handa our applications go in. I feel some of them are badmind and dont want to see them fellow Jamaicans do good in life and them sit down on people's applications. If that is the case then need to remember them judgement day will come. But that's my opinion. I really want to here that they put you child paper thru ASAP. Your in my prayers

I am calling it for all of us to hear something from KVO this week! I have to send in my husbands updated police record today as the one on file had expired! Going to ask for an update on application. And which date they are currently processing. Hoping for a favorable response will update once they answer!
