Ok

But what it has to do with linking application online
It has to do with the total amount of people in the application.

Hi, Can I send my Parent's and Mother-In-Law's Applications (Two applications, packed in separate sealed envelops) in the same package to Ottawa, I am planning to send using Canada Post/.

Does anyone know if they have asked for the "top up" applications yet?
You know like they did last year when they did not have 10,000 complete applications the first time around.
Thanks

I believe they will wait until at least May 25th which is the last day to apply for the first chosen 10000

Wow! Did you and your spouse win both? Lucky ones (-: Personality I don't see a problem with this if they are properly separated, but most probably I would just send two different packages the same day (-: since there are two different sponsors and applicants

Thanks,

Yes we both got the invitation to sponsor our patents :)

Thanks, I will also send two separate letters.

They already chose 15,000 lottery winners, so they will probably get the 10K eligible upfront, possibly even more than 10K. I doubt they will do a 2nd round this year.

No you have to send it separate. It’s on the guide. All the best.

I submitted the application online before and I have not received any email regarding not being selected by Immigration center. Should I still wait or what?

Hello Everyone, I had a question about the supporting documents for Parents and Grandparents sponsorship. We have been invited to apply under this program for my parents, however, I am not sure which documents for Principal Applicant and Dependent (my mother and father) are to be attached with the application. Based on the guide it seems to be:
1. Their Passports
2. Their Marriage Certificate
3. My birth certificate

I am allowing CIC to access my CRA records so NOAs are not required. is there any other document which is required?

Also, apparently my parents are not able to locate their marriage certificate, is there a substitute for the marriage certificate? They do have names of each other on their passports, which implies that their home country/ govt. recognizes them as married.

Also, has anyone gone through this process earlier? One of my concerns is that, are the documents like my parent's educational qualifications asked by CIC for the next stage of the application process? Obviously, they did their schooling etc. long back so they may not have all the records (degrees, transcripts etc.), so if I declare a certain level of education on the forms, do I need to have supporting documents for those declarations?

Thanks for all the help,
HM

Only those who are selected will receive email invitation. Those who are not selected, will not receive anything
So, if you have not so far received any invitation email, you are probably not selected yet in this round. However, IRCC states that if they do not receive 10,000 completed application, they may make second round of selection though.

According to the list of the selected confirmation numbers, there are already 15,000 confirmation numbers which means IRCC has selected 15,000 potential sponsors. And since IRCC state that they are aiming for 10,000 completed application, there is very slim chance that IRCC will do 2nd round. It would be interested to know what IRCC will do if they receive more than 10,000 completed application (out of 15,000)

hello all,

I have sent my paper application by mail two weeks ago and since then I have not received any confirmation from IRCC. is there anyone out there in the same boat as I am and every time I try to link my paper application it does not work. any help or insight is much appreciated.

I'm 99.9% sure they will accept over 10K apps, if they get more than 10K qualified. It would be a PR disaster to refuse apps from people who won a lottery spot and qualified.

At the end of the day accepting a few thousand extra apps is not a big deal. Last year they got a bit less than 10K.
