Do we need birth certificates for parents being sponsored and what if parents do no have the marriage certificate? Thanks
Hi HarryKhuttan,
Me too looking for an answer to your question.? Have you received inputs from anyone?
I came to know from the thread that an affidavit will work for no marriage certificate.
What if parents dont have birth certificate?
Thanks

Thanks

Hi all,

I can understand the relevant forms require principal applicant, spouse or common-law partner, sponsor, and, co-signer signature (if applicable). Does this mean that one can sign and scan, email and then other(s) can sign, which will allow a document to be signed by all, as and where necessary, and, then print the final copy and send it to CIC?

My question is - Will CIC accept scanned signed copy since it would definitely not be like signing the original copy after the print out?

Please assist.

Thanks
No only original signed copies are acceptable.no scaned after signing

Hi all,

My parents DO NOT want to disclose about their brothers and sisters due to family differences. Is that ok to put 'Not Applicable' in all the fields

Please assist.

Thanks.
Plz read the question again. It asks for family information. It's not giving choice. Will you like to tell us about your family. If you don't it will be missed representation and can make you disqualified.

Hi canuck78,

Thanks for the reply.

Well, with the immigration you never know when they will ask for supporting evidence or document for what you are disclosing. We do not want their names to be part of the application form(s). Plus we do not have any information at all as not in touch since ages.

The question is if CIC is not worried to perform any verification on parents siblings and do not want any supporting evidence or document then even if we don't disclose how in this world they would ever get to know or try to know?
They will know. When they send information to your country for background check.

This is regarding q6 of imm5669. Earlier I had filled that my parents are retired without giving details of any travelling info. But now when I read that we are supposed to give all the travel details for the last 10 years outside their country, I see that it has only month and year and no space to write dates. Where do we write the dates ?
Thank you.

Hello All,
Question regarding UCI/CLIENT ID, My parents never visited Canada, so they don't have UCI/client Id. Can I use my ID# from my PR card instead? ☺☺☺

Not sure why your are willing to risk your parent's PR for what seems like a minor hassle. Putting down their siblings' names is really not a big deal and easy to verify if you lie.

Thanks canuck78,
So you are saying CIC will send some sort of information to India for verification to India? A very important question is will verification go to siblings address then they can fuck around to say anything, which may bring our application in trouble :(

We don’t know their marital status, addresses, email and other information where they live so if we provide just the names would be ok? Because we are providing information to the best of our knowledge, right ?

Fill out the information to the best of your ability but make sure to include all the names of your family members that are asked for.

Great and thanks.

So, if I include all my parents’ siblings names and rest ‘NA’ because we don’t know, would you think that be ok?

Hi all,

Q. If I don’t know the complete DOB and just the year or month or date on any of the forms what should I put instead?

Q. Some forms require validation, can I leave blank and print and then put NA in handwriting?

Q. Some forms require validation, can I print and put ‘unknown’ - where I don’t know and ‘NA’ where it does not apply to me/us.

Q. Do we need to submit entire PGP2018 application or any of the forms electronically, if we create a new CIC account?

Q. How does the signature process works??
- fill the form, validate(wherever possible), email to parents. Then, they print out the signature page only and sign and send back the ‘original’ signature page via courier for the sponsor to sign on the same page
OR
- fill the form, validate(wherever possible), email to parents. Then, they print out the signature page only and sign and send back the ‘scanned’ signature page via email for the sponsor to sign on the same page
