Guys anybody please? Any informed view point is highly appreciated.. hoping to hear from you seniors!!

Hi All,

These forums have really been what they are “ a ray of hope” for me.

I don’t know if this is the right forum to as this question.

I entered the pool in feb with 426 and I know I have a long way to go. But this is about my work ex.

I have 6 years of experience that I have shown while entering the pool (experience is from India)

However, I am leaving the job while waiting for ITA as I can’t take this job anymore. I also wanted to study French full time for TEF for an Year. I think this is the is my only way considering my score. wanted to ask the seniors in this group if this is going to impact my ITA and later the PR process.

Your responses will save me a lot of pain and so please guide me
Guys

No impact on your chances of obtaining an ITA. If you're claiming points for this work experience then you'll need a reference letter from your employer.

Regarding applying for OINP. I notice it says that to be eligible you must have "ties to Ontario". And it than lists a few dot points as to what this means. It isn't however very clear exactly what they want, it seems quite subjective. Will I definitely be ruled out of OINP if I have no ties to Ontario? One of the 'ties' it lists is simply to have applied to jobs in Ontario. If that is my only tie, will I be eligible?

I don't think it's mandatory. I believe it's an optional document to upload.

So does it mean i may be eligible for OINP if i have score more than 400 and even if i don't have any past study or work or any other relation with Ontario (or Canada)?

Based on the wording, there is nothing that seems to say that it is 'optional'.

Here is what it says in the application guide:

ref: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps.pdf

2.1.5 Intention to Reside in Ontario
All applicants must intend to reside in Ontario. You will be required to list your established ties to Ontario that can include, but are not limited to, the following:
 Current and/or previous employment in Ontario,
 Job offers or jobs applied/interviewed for in Ontario,
 Education in Ontario,
 Volunteer work in Ontario,
 Lease agreements for a residence in Ontario or property ownership,
 Professional networks and affiliations,  Family ties,  Social connections or personal relationships, and/or
 Previous visits to Ontario.

I thank you so much for the response :)

Just one clarification then,
I can get the reference that I have worked till end of March 2018 (since I am going to quit by the end of this month). So is it ok if I am jobless and go for further studies while I am in the pool waiting for ITA ?

And Here I am and a big bunch of others at 441.. :(

442 would be the cut off in the worst case scenario on Mar 21st if CIC issues 3000 ITAs. 441 cut off is also very much possible. Just hope they have the 1 week gap draw on 21st, if not it won't be good news!

and what is your calculation behind this..

Based on the current average intake to the express entry pool (including those who have increase their CRS score).

What's the cutoff assuming 2 week draw?
