In 2017, having CRS score of 430s was almost guaranteed ITA.

In 2018, having CRS score of 440s was almost guaranteed ITA.

In 2019, it seems having CRS score of 450s is almost guaranteed ITA.

In 2018, so many relied on CRS decreasing to 430s but it never happened. Although it is great to hope but don't rely on hope alone. Do what's on your hand - Increase your scores in anyway possible.

I wish and hope you all get ITAs.

Take your discouragement elsewhere please
This is called to realize the fact and accept the reality... then strategies your next best alternative given the situation. I still advise any one here below 445 to look ahead for their possible best alternative before its too late. Seating back and hoping for miracles to happen is a waste of time... If not a crime on oneself.

Me: Mirror Mirror on the wall.. What should Gracy46817 do amidst negative comments?
Mirror: Sit tight.. Try everything you can.. Make secondary plans.. In case more than one bears fruit, then decide..

This is coming from someone who's in 430s since January so take it with a grain of salt..

Hi Friends,
Just wanted to know how long is police clearance of UK valid? I had traveled UK in the past October 2014, and returned in October 2015, and since then neither have travelled to UK nor have any current plans.
I got my police certificate last year in February. Will it still remain valid if I do get ITA in July '19, or will you suggest for fresh police clearance certificate.

Hi all. My score has only gone down since I last checked in. Now it's 416. Only have less than a year before we'll need to re-do CELPIP, but unfortunately we have no room for improvement other than a couple of points. Still considering self-employment stream but it's unclear whether we have a chance with that. Pursuing an advanced degree but that will take years while working full-time. Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else has around this many points? Very disappointing.

You have no chance at all. It is a waste of time for you. I would start looking at other countries. Good luck
I guess I have decent scores and this month it was 450 though I got struck at the toe breaker rule...still i was expecting the ITA within 1-2 months but as the draw got late I started panicking....get your facts clear dude...this time it was 450 only...and people over here are expecting it to go around 455-456 d

Sitting at 465 and waiting for AOR for BOWP...
Does anybody have an idea about how to explain to an immigration officer about why I submit AOR later than my original document?

Certainly there are merits in CBT. However, I followed a technique for listening module and could improve to 8.5 from 7.5. I believe that I won't be able to replicate my score with CBT in listening module. It's very distracting to me and that's why I am rigid on the choice of Pen and Paper IELTS test.
What was your technique?

What was your technique?
Listening:
  • A lot of previewing - I would jump straight to Sec-3. I would figure out what is the subject in the statement and would underline it. I would also underline the word that characterizes the subject. I would then listen whether the speaker speaks positively on the two or there is no reference to it at all. I practiced enough that I wouldn't get even one answer wrong in Sec-1 and 4.
  • I would consistently get all answers correct with just practicing and focusing on Sec-1, 2 and 4
  • Sec-3 is where you could make it or break it.
  • I kept an eye on the words I had underlined and practiced crossing out wrong options.
Speaking:
  • I speak at a steady pace leaning more towards the slower side and would maintain the eye contact and sat comfortably.
  • I always answered the question directly as my first response statement. Then, I would talk about what my observations have been pertaining to the subject and follow it up with my views/recommendations. Did this for every question asked.
  • I spoke formally and did give a flavour of uncommon words and emphasized them whenever I made a use of them
  • Speaking is something I never bothered about much but had just figured out what brings the best reward.
