I saw only 45 calendar days. But if u miss direct ITA on the 7th, it may be tie break rule.

At 441, you can afford to miss NOI acceptance.

I'm at 437, I have the Feb 25 NOI, I still think I can afford to miss NOI expiry date.

I know....we can afford to be optimistic with 441 but we were hoping to reach canada befor onset of winters....plus its like our life is on a hold right now....and pretty impatient to take the leap! :D

Give them the 1500cad then but you can still be waiting for the certificate of nomination and direct ITA will come home. How about that? You don't know when the processing will be over to say when to travel to Canada.

Hi guys,

I had posted a question previously regarding the exact way to count the time period of 45 days to accept OINP. A few other people had raised a similar query and no one seemed to know for sure. We contacted our consultant and he has come up with a solution of sorts. Just thought i will share it here for anyone facing similar issue.

So me and my husband uploaded our profile on 5th jan 2018 at CRS 441, location India. We recieved OINP on 22nd jan 4:45 pm EST. We decided to wait for a few draws before accepting OINP. We have been waiting since.

However our 45 day limit gets over on 7th-8th march depending upon how you interpret ‘calendar days’. Next draw is likely to happen on 7th march and that would leave us just a few hours or lesser to accept OINP. So we were worried as we didnt want to just throw away 1500 CAD and at the same time didnt want to miss the opportunity.

Our consultant however informed us that the processing fees i.e. 1500 CAD doesnt have to be paid immediately on making the profile accepting the OINP. Once you make a profile for PNP, time period of 14 days is given to collect all the documents and to make the payment.

We are therefore avoiding the confusion of the counting the days and making the profile for PNP on 6th march to be on the safer side.

Still hoping for an ITA on 7th. If that happens then we can withdraw our application for PNP and go throught the ITA route.

Hope it helps everyone facing similar issue. :)
Please re-confirm, "1500 CAD doesnt have to be paid immediately"
I read the below on Ontario's site:
*********
The application fee is $1,500. The fee covers the cost of processing your application and is non-refundable once you submit your application. Your fee must be paid online by credit card only (VISA or MasterCard) before your application can be submitted.
*********

Also, if you are planning to play safe, I would advise you to play safer and register a day or two prior to 6th.
When I say this, I have the below reason:
*****
March 2, 2018

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please be advised that the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will be undergoing scheduled system maintenance between Saturday, March 3, 2018 and ending on Sunday March 4, 2018. You will be unable to submit an online application during this time.

Any client whose application deadline is affected by the system maintenance is asked to contact the program directly at ontarionominee@ontario.ca.

Please monitor this OINP Updates page for news, announcements and program developments.
*****
I am sure you would want to avoid this hassle.
You would anyhow be pretty sure how you would be proceeding(either through OINP or FSW) before the draw two weeks later.

Please stop spreading wrong information. The recent updated OINP guidelines CLEARLY states you have 45 days from receipt of NOI to submission for HCP stream.
With 441, you have a pretty good chance of direct ITA on the 7th March if CIC holds a draw on that date and if you are not affected by the tie breaker rule

READ the guidelines, they have changed. Now we don't get 14 days after acceptance of noi. As soon as you get a Noi your 45 days deadline starts counting including payment of fee. No additional 14 days are given now.

I've gotten down from my high horse but I suggest you change this "consultant". who doesn't update himself with recent immigration guidelines. I know a lot of people consultants have shattered their immigration hopes with inaccurate info.
A word is enough for the wise.

Coming down from high horses? When you will be the one to miss out on the PNP? That comment is for your consultant who you pay.

Hello all,
I am super confused on how to proceed with PCC given my situation and will really appreciate any help.
2007:
1. Until Midday Jan 21: Lived at my home country
2. Jan 21 departure stamped on my passport (have a PCC that was issued to me on Dec 17, 2006 for USA student visa application)
3. Jan 22: Admitted to USA
2011
1. May 12 Departed USA (No stamp) and May 14 Arrived at my home country
2. Jul 10 Departed my home country & Jul 11 admitted to USA again (both stamped)
2016
1. Dec 20, Departed USA
2. Dec 22 arrived to my home country and since living here

Here is what I am thinking. Please correct me if I am wrong.
1. Use same PCC from 2006 to cover my stay prior of US departure in 2007.
2. FBI PCC to cover dates from Jan 22, 2007 - Dec 20, 2016
3. New PCC from my home country to cover dates on-wards of Dec 22, 2016 (Is it Ok to have 1 day gap between PCC 2 and 3 as I was on transit during that period)
Someone please help....

As far as I understand any fresh PCC obtained on a day should cover any period lived before that day irrespective of when arrived or departed in that country.
So you should just apply two fresh PCC’s for US and your home country and you should be good.
I am semi confident about this so please confirm.
