Everything was sent by email in my case.
And yes, ECAS was updated as well.
Funny enough, the last line (you became a Canadian citizen blablabla) didn't show up but who cares...

No ... on March 2nd its updated on ecas - but the message reads they sent the official correspondence on March 1st by regular mail which i need to bring with me to the ceremony !
