Spousal Sponsorship_ LICO?

Hi ,

I have a quick question that I need to confrim :
I know in spousal sponsorship the sponsor doesn't need to have Low Income Cut off Requirement. However , if the person being sponsored (Principal Applicant) has a dependent child ; and will accompany the Principal Applicant , in that scenario, does the sponsor comes under LICO or not?
To my understanding , the sponsor will not come under LICO , even when the spouse/ partner he/she sponsoring has dependent children of their own.. Am I correct or is there something that I am missing here?

No, there is no income requirement for spousal sponsorship with or without dependent(s). But CIC may request you to submit evidences that you can financially support your family once all of you settle in Canada.
