Inland or outland is decided by section 4 on the checklist.Couriering this beast out today!
Just seen a post on another thread and now it has me questioning an answer..
On IMM1344 (part 1 question 6) it asks relationship to applicant. I had previously read that we should select living inside canada even if going the outland route as the route is decided by question 4 of the checklist? Is that wrong? Should i say living outside Canada?
I am in Canada (with no status), so is my sponsor (Canadian citizen). We want to apply outland - Family Class.
You must be so relieved, great to hear.To close this story... Restoration of status approved!
Thanks to everyone who helped me on this...i would have pulled my hair out trying to figure that unexpected hurdle out on my own!
You guys rock! (Duh!)

For sure and for anyone procrastinating get the app in asap, learn by our mistakes. CIC will only give someone so long on extended visitor status before they need to see you are serious in getting a PR app in process.Looks like having a PR app in process carries lots of weight. Congratulations!
For suuuuuuure! Do as I say and not as I do (uhhh well did!) right @OldmacwrightFor sure and for anyone procrastinating get the app in asap, learn by our mistakes. CIC will only give someone so long on extended visitor status before they need to see you are serious in getting a PR app in process.

I was 99% certain your status would be restored but always that 1% and what if it's notFor suuuuuuure! Do as I say and not as I do (uhhh well did!) right @Oldmacwright
I am very relieved and while it doesn't really "mean" anything it does mean that I don't have to make a decision regarding where I see out the remainder of my pr processing and under what status.
Oh and it does mean I didn't just line CICs pockets for nothing!
I was 99% sure you wouldn’t get a refusal but there’s always that 1% that makes you think the worst! For suuuuuuure! Do as I say and not as I do (uhhh well did!) right @Oldmacwright

How long is your extension valid for did they give you a whole year which should see you a PR before that expires, or have you got to line their pockets again with a further extension?
Lol it's a money racket, though I believe getting PR here is way cheaper than if your partner wanted to move over to the UK.What do you think!?!? 6 months!
I've got until August, PR submitted end of October so....here's hoping!
Well my VO is London and they are apparently slow... I was hoping it would have stayed in Mississauga as i see quite a few quick turnarounds for there but trying to just keep telling myself that every app is different and i may get lucky! I just so desperately want to get back to normal life and am trying not to obsessively check for updates. It consuming, mentally and cash wise, not being able to "live freely". (Not bitching about CIC as a large majority of this is our fault)Lol it's a money racket, though I believe getting PR here is way cheaper than if your partner wanted to move over to the UK.
You might have it by then fingers crossed, what speed are UK outlanders getting recently?
Were August 2017 inland so hopefully we be done around August, though seems like not much happening currently as haven't seen even any June applicants get med request yet, I thought they would pick up speed by now!
Do you regret not going inland as a least you would of got an OWP now,.
I see, makes sense if you would have to wait for AIP, I just thought once back in status you could get an OWP?Well my VO is London and they are apparently slow... I dont think i regret outland.. Because i was out of status i think i would have had to wait for AIP then apply for the OWP. Which would have probably been few extra months. Inland i didnt like the not being able to travel thing. I dont plan to travel but if i HAD to go back to the UK for something i wanted to be able to.
What's your VO again?
Oh wow that's crazy that people from September/October are seemingly further along than you. Doesn't seem fair. Would love to know their system. I'm hoping that they just aren't updating you ECAS/MyCIC and you just get your DM email!I see, makes sense if you would have to wait for AIP, I just thought once back in status you could get an OWP?
No idea on the VO as don't think it's been transferred yet, on ecas all I have is "in process" on my side with 1 line, and on my wifes side it's still at "application received" with just the 2 lines. Slow progress!
