I completed 24 months on Jan 19, 2018 and today got message in myCiC requesting new medical examination(3rd one). My 2nd medical expired in nov 2017 and was marked as not needed then.

So my question is:

Is there anyone here waiting for 24months and more? Do you guys think this means PPR is finally on its way? (Feeding mysef with hopes )

not very efficient to have asked you to provide second medical when thy could not see the file closing then. hope this time you will get it soon. are you iranian?

I just hope that they are not THAT cruel to demand new medicals and then reject the application after that. Logically I know this does not mean anything, might as well be a regular procedure and that's it.

Looking at the wait times they have given us and still creating more ITA each month, I think they look upon us as mere numbers they have to fill each month, each year.

Oh no they are never cruel to us, because to be cruel to someone you have to look at them as more than a mere number.

So they are just amoral. Yes amoral. This is the latest escape of lazy modern people who can't be moral but also cannot bear the burden of being called immoral

they have no incentive whatsoever to even spend a single minute on any file which crossed the 6-month mark. Any officer will favor putting his time on the fresher files since those will count towards his quota, old ones: no at all.

I don't think so. I am very sure that internally they take statistics over the worst cases and their total average time. Just because they don't release this information doesn't mean that they don't look at it or acknowledge it... Plus every application that takes over 2 years is a lawsuit in the making, and that looks very bad for them...

They know, but CBSA mostly is overworked, the have backlogs in many areas, and they don't even have the numbers to patrol certain areas... They are short on people on all levels and all tasks...
