ALL THE NEW STARTERS OF PGP APPLICATION, PLEASE SHARE HOW YOU ARE ARRANGING DOCUMENTS.
as Rob_To mentioned "Since all signatures must be original, then yes parents in another country would need to print the docs, sign them, and courier them all to you in Canada."

Is there any link on the filling of Forms, I mean by detail steps. So confused, please advise.

Hi guys,
Can anyone please confirm which forms need to be completed by both parent?
My main concern is IMM0008-generic application form. which seems need to be filled by principle applicant only (either mom or dad-in my case my mom) and dad's information can be found as mom's spouse- so only one form for my mom?..(they are married and have no dependant children so assuming other related forms can be ignored)

Form my understanding, these are forms that need to be completed by both parents, no matter which is principle applicant.
eIMM5669E-background check
IMM5406E-Additional Family Information
IMM5476E-Use of Representative

I also had a hard time to understand how to fill out Q14 of IMM5768E-Finantial Evaluation, I used total amount of salary and benefits of YTD of my last paystub (I started my new job 6 months ago) as it says Gross Income/Benefits for period and total amount of line 150 of 2014-2015-2016 proof of income form (worked at a company on 2013-2014-2015 and 2016)- so it has totally two lines...

Thanks for your help in advance!

I am selected too, I have PR , now I have questions did my parents get PR after I send application, and can they go in and out off Canada , Because can't find no where what after I send application, thank you

Hi Guys, seeking some clarifications from the experienced members. Is UCCB counted towards family income for parents sponsorship. I'm marginally short of the threshold income requirements for sponsoring my parents and if UCCB is eligible to be added I will be good. Appreciate your help

A short summary

1. Collect preceding 3 years NOA form your MY CRA account. If your spouse is Co-signer, also collect his/her NOAs.
2. Collect your parents Passport, Photos, Identity proof, Marriage certificate, Your birth certificate, Your familiy's PR/Citizenship proofs, Your acceptance e-mail with bar code.
3. Complete all forms as mention din check list. Make sure you submit certain forms , individually for both parents
4. Arrange everything as per Check List.
5. Send it through courier or Canada post. Note the addresses are different for each. If using Canada Post, there is an option for some text message for receiving confirmation for piece of mind, use that.

Wait for AOR form IRCC ( will take 30-40 days ) and then Sponsorship approval ( 20 more days). If they will need any additional documents, they will send an email in between. Need of additional document can delay the SA process. After that CIC will send the application to your home country visa office or Ottawa.

Thank you for this summary. What about the police certificates and medical exams of parents? When do those will need to be done? Are there any other documents that need to be submitted in addition to the ones listed in the Document Checklist (IMM5771E). They don't seem to be too many, that's why I wanted to confirm.

Thank you for your help.

Hey Guys,

My parents are being sponsored by my brother. They did the medical last months and this was the last thing requested.

Will they request a Police clearance for them or what?

Hi
Anyone knows how would be insurance plan after parents get their PR? I know I may need to purchase a private insurance in the time frame they get their PR card but are they eligible to use public insurance services after they get PR the same as other PR holders no matter how they got PR? Have read somewhere that sponsor must cover ALL their expenses in next 20 years including insurance.

Hello friends,
I got invitation in 2nd round for parent sponsorship application.
I am sponsoring my parents, so total number of persons would be 4 for minimum income requirement.

I have question about dependant of my parents.
My brother is 24 years old. He worked for 2 years( 2015 and 2016).
Now he is enrolled in college for MBA in Aug-2017. (will finish in 2019)

I don't see him under Dependent Category, but he is financially dependant on parents for education.
Dependent children
Refers to the children of the applicant and those of the spouse or common-law partner, if applicable.

They must be:

  • under the age of 19 and not have a spouse or common-law partner, or
  • 19 years of age or older and unable to be financially self-sufficient since before the age of 19 due to a physical or mental condition.

Do I need to fill form IMM-5669 for him and add him in IMM0008DEP?
Then total number of person will change for minimum income requirement?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

He'd qualify only if he's been dependant on them before he turned 19 due to a physical or mental condition. If he's physically & mentally fit he's not eligible to be sponsored.

They'll be eligible for the provincial health care like all other permanent residents after the waiting period is over; the rules are the same for all PR holders. They can not claim welfare, old age benefits etc. for 20 years.
