Do you know if they will grant an extension? I just called my mom to tell her about the new tests needed and she told me she is going to have cataract surgery this weekend and she told me she wont be able to travel for another 6 weeks after the surgery because of doc appointments for follow of this surgery.

Will CIC grant an extension? Do i call the regular line or should I ask my MP for help?

Send a webform with proof of cataract surgery and directions not to travel for 6 weeks. Would she need to travel to visit a panel physician or do the required tests in India? If not she should do the requested tests in India.

There is a substantial backlog so you are likely in line for P1. PGP is not a fast process and current processing times are around 3 years

I am feeling frustrated. I applied in Dec 2023 - Medical was done in July 2024 and Police Clearance also sent. Since then no update. File is stuck at Vancouver Office and is undergoing security check.

Any suggestions on how to expedite process please?

You are undergoing normal processing. Posted processing is around 3 years. All you can do is wait you are in a long line of other waiting for processing

Same boat! Nothing we can really do, is my guess. How do you know that your file is undergoing security checks? Mine just says "we are reviewing..." on the GC portal

PGP is a long process and there is a substantial backlog so plan on close to 3 years and celebrate if processed faster. The quota this year has been cut which will slow down processing. There are hundreds of thousands of people who would prefer to be in your spot.

How long did it take for the notes for you? I applied on Apr 17, nothing has come in yet.

My case may be a little bit different, I was requested to do a second medical last month because the previous one (done during supervisa processing last year) on file expired this month. Prior to this request, I had already submitted the PCC via webform without IRCC requesting for it. Meanwhile, my file was transferred from CPC-Misssauga to Montreal after AOR was issued.

Hello I wonder what is the status of your application now? I am in the same boat.
