Yes and they said it is just matter of time, it is in queue for printing. But I have seen people with same time line got there application approved.

Guys, there were a couple of messages about automated emails from Ottawa with confirmation of passport receipt.

Should everyone get them at some point after delivery or would they be triggered only by a call/email to an agent from our side?

Mine got approved on 18th. I actually have this same question as you do. Can we call agent to speed up the return envelope if I have a travel plan at the end of next week lol?

Just called CIC. Waited for 3 minutes, I cannot complain about the agent.
She told me my passport was received August 3rd (Canada Post delivered on July 31st).

I told my husband WP is expiring August 30th. She put a note for the agent responsible for my case. waiting more now... hoping to get approval soon

my application was approved on Aug 15th and got the tracker activated on 18th. Just now checked it though. Might get my PP in a day or two.
