My medical is expiring 16th August, and I also have same as yours in gckey, I think CIC asks for remedy if it is long expired, so let us hope that they will finalize our cases soon and they may extend our expiry by a month or so

Thanks for updating. Did u ever order notes? my background check is also in progress from last 1 year and eligibility reads "review required". God knows whats going on at lvo

I still havent recieved the transfer email yet, but I saw in another thread that a lot of people are in the same situation. Does it say background and eligibility check started in your myCIC?

I dont have access to myCIC because of having representative. But does ur myCIC says BG and eligibility check started?
And where do u live?

Those who dont have accsss to my cic . Just call them and press 1 ,1,2 and then file no and applicant year of birth then press 1 to listen to automated message its as exactly as mycic. For ahsan512 from canada 18882422100

Yes, the BG check and eligibility started 28th july. I am in Vancouver.

I sponsored my wife, application received on Feb. 18, 2016, Transferred to LVO on May 18, 2016 Interview was requested on May 15, 2017 in Islamabad, Pakistan and requested to provide wedding pics. proof of ongoing relation, request to fill new set of forms, re-medical and updated police certificates. I provided all these but Visa officer requested more documents regarding divorce notices to my wife by her ex. and also death certificate of my ex. wife. because it is 2nd marriage for both of us. I sent additional documents on 27 May 2017 by email. Additional documents were received by LVO on 25 June, 2017. I am still waiting and review of my file is being done. Can any one please have an idea that how long will they take to decide. and what may be the outcome ?

i call on this number . and she said ((we received your application on 9 nov 2016 no need interview no need fingerprints medical pass ( background check was not start yet) and body have idea how lts take long plz

Hi everyone,
I would request senior members to please take time and read my questions because i have a complex case and answer my questions if possible. I have been following this thread for quite some time and finally decided to post here some questions regarding my situation. So I am December 2016 applicant and I've used old kit and did upfront medical which was successful at last because i had to go through sputum tests which was a nerve breaking experience.
I have bad travel history as i was deported from a European union country and been previously married(its a very long story so i will just limit details).
Now i tried to contact LVO last month and it took them one month to answer that after 8 month i sent my application, it still awaits initial review which is really disappointing to know. Can anyone tell me what is going on with my case and how long should i expect to hear from them. And what will be the effect of my bad travel history on my application?
And i also am not able to connect my application to my gckey account all i am able to do is just call on cic helpline and listen to current status which mentioned that i do not need an interview which is kind of surprising as i was expecting to be called for an interview. Thanks in advance if someone can take some time and answer my queries.

About the initial review, maybe your visa officer is a bit slow. Order GCMS notes which you will receive after 30 days. It will tell you if the progress of your file. Regarding bad travel history, when cic will do background checks they might find out about it. None of us can say for sure what will happen.

My wife submitted my sponsorship application on October 2016 with upfront med and on May 2017 I was req med test again.. how long before they request for my passport.. she's currently visiting me and my family in Pakistan with our baby..

Any advice?

It's been 2 months since re medical so can't say for sure. Have u contacted lvo for update lately?

hi we submitted medical upfront. Our medical will expires this September. Our Gckey was updated "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam" but it was attached a Medical Instruction and Medical Report. Do I need to re do my medical or are they reviewing my upfronr medical. Please advise. thank you

If you have recently received a message for re medical from Cic then yes proceed for a re medical. Unless you do that, your file will be on hold

March 2016 applicants got interview dates for Sep last week. Hopefully you will receive within this month.

No one can have any idea about the outcome of any case as each case is different and handled by different officers. You can involve your MP to ask status from LVO on your behalf. Once they r satisfied that your marriage is genuine and eligibility is passed, background checks will start which also takes some time. So involve mp and also order GCMS notes.
