Just as an update for the record.
Applied on 3rd July 2024 (PA origin Pakistan). Followed by the regular updates (AOR-BIL-MIL-SA), all from early to Mid August. SA letter mentioned Sydney, NS office.
Completed everything by Mid September. Sent a web form for a request of update on file in late September as PR Application Tracker wasn't operational at that time, which started to work sometime in September too.
Received the web form reply in a couple of days and was told that file is being processed in London, UK. Received a request to submit an additional document mid October. Received Pre-arrival letter late October. PPR Nov 1st. Passport sent Nov 5th.
GCKEY shows application approved with counterfoil number and expiry. Waiting for the passport return.
Good luck all.

Hi Suadae - Congrats!!!....4 Months!!! Your application seems to have moved at a pace faster than the In-Land application. Its got to be included in Guinness book of world records - specially considering application was from Pakistan and processed in the notorious London Visa Office.
Any reason you think that has helped it? May I ask if the principal applicant is working in either IT or Health care (or has education in it). Or you have children - assuming that perhaps IRCC prioritizes applications with these factors.

Thank you so much. Lol I wish there was a way to get this into record books and get a prize for it too lol.
I was concerned myself when I learned about my file being in London but I think the pace has got way better in recent months and following other members around the same timeline are getting regular progress too.
One thing I'd suggest everyone to do is to follow each and every checklist and documents that are required. The more detailed and well arranged, the better. I had experience of getting my PR through Humanitarian grounds myself on my own in the first attempt because I knew my case is legit and I had everything to prove. All I did was to write a comprehensive explanation of my situation and each and every document according to its timeline to make it easier for the working officer to have access to whatever information they look for in my file without having to flip through pages.
If there is something you can't provide, write a LOE for it and explain your situation in briefest but meaningful way and not expect the IRCC to reach out to you every time something is missing.
I was asked for an additional translated document that I had missed even though I proof read my application 3 times after completing it and before submitting it. But it was a minor hurdle that's why it didn't take too long for my application to be completed after I submitted the document.

The principal applicant is not working and had just graduated a couple of years ago and is basically a stay home individual currently. Education and experience of the principal applicant plays no importance to spousal sponsorships in my opinion. They do ask for details just for the record.

This could be a plus for me that it was our first marriage for both of us and my marriage ceremony had 300+ guests and I had attached many other pictures of before and after the event to prove my case.

I wish you all good luck and pray that you guys unite with your respective better halves as soon as possible iA.

How long does it take after the PA eligibility marked as completed in the tracker but "in progress" in GCKey?
It will stay like that on GCKEY until PPR and counterfoil affixed on the passport. If it shows completed on the tracker, wait for the PPR, should be arriving soon if everything else is completed too.

Firstly, thank you for responding in detail. You are right, making a mistake is pretty easy as there are so many different parts and nuances in this applications. However, if there is a mistake or something missing - IRCC is supposed to respond - either reject the application or blurt it out - whatever they need in short period of time.

Your processing timeline is a SLAP on the face of few of know-it-all pundits on this forum who quickly associate delayed timelines to certain countries. By doing so, they 'try' to mask the incompetency and inefficiency of IRCC - i wonder why - some baggage of finger pointing behavior they brought with them from their culture or perhaps they may have someone in the family working at IRCC and that's why take it personal.

Regardless - your case and few others recently, makes it abundantly clear that IRCC needs to fix issues on its end. There is a lot of human bias & error happening on their end, and lack of protocols (or implementing it) which is creating backlog of files from 2020, 21, 22 and early half of 23. IRCC should be transparent in sharing the backlog of files and introduce ACCOUNTABILITY measures.
