PROCESSING TIME FOR RESTORATION OF STATUS/WORK PERMIT

Hello guys .. here's my timeline

Applied online LMIA exempt WP : Feb 09,2017.
WP Refused due to wrong LMIA exempt code and lost Temporary Status : April 23,2017.
Applied online for Status restoration and WP:April 26,2017 .
Got Approved :June 16,2017.

I read the whole thread and I did't find anything to look alike my situation ..
I came in Montreal, Canada as a visitor in February 8th 2016.
In July 14th 2016, my status changed to Visitor - Worker because I got approved for the Working Holidays Program . On the 31st of May 2016 and before my temporary Work Permit expired I applied for an open work permit extension and for Permanent Residence Card under the Family Sponsorship ( Common – Law ) program. Due to some mistakes in my second application , both of my applications were returned to me in order to complete them and send them again correctly. I sent them again today but my first Work Permit has already been expired .
So, my question is ... Can I still work ? or I will have to wait for Canada's Decision ?

First of all thank you for your quick response. Secondly , yes, I quit my job and applied for restoration for my work permit .. Another thing I was told by a lawyer, is that if I want to be legal in Canada until my app is approved , I have to apply for restoration of status as a Visitor. He told me though , almost nobody applies for that and they just wait for their work permit.

Stupid lawyer. There is no point in applying for Restoration as a visitor when you have already applied for Restoration as a worker.

I applied to extend my work permit in May. They have not responded yet. Do they get in touch via email?

Edit. To add, I am on the IEC program, and i applied via post.

If anyone can give any help, it would be appreciated. What worries me is that since I applied via post, I have no idea what the status is. I cant check online or anything.

My consultant apply my work permit on 18 April 2017.But till now I did not get any response.He apply my Visa online and the processing time is 13 weeks so today is the last day.If anyone apply for work permit after December 2017.can contact me on +971561629548.

Hi i just was refused an extension on my open work permit and now I am trying to restore my status online but after doing the questionaire, I am getting the wrong application forms.

Hi guys
I'm a high school student. On Mar.28th, I submitted the application for the extension of my study permit and got a refusal letter on May 6th stating that my application got rejected because I did not submit the notarized custodianship declaration form. May 6th was the same day that my original study permit expired. I then submitted my application for the restoration of my status through the paper application on May 17th. I haven't received any response since then. Is anyone got restore? And what about the processing time? The waiting is so painful
