WOW! I know what it's like.I've been to those places before.. I haven't been home since 2013 either lol. However, I'm not so concerned about getting the landing before december but actually getting the PR card in our hands by Christmas. Hoping and praying!

@browning911 PR Cards are presently 65 days (according to the processing times checker). That means, Carol should have one, then we will get one shortly after -- they the "voodoo" (@GuyanaGirl) in the crowd should get one shortly thereafter...

Yes, i've seen which is why I'm saying if we get the landing interview by Sept that would be perfect as its very likely we will get it by Christmas to be able to go.

How long will I get a email/response from cic after I submit a open work permit? Vergeville received it on 26 June.

Average is 4 months for OWP.

lol, I don't have a SA/AIP or DM yet much less Landing to say August yet so thats why i'm hoping to at least have landing by Sept so its more likely possible to bet set.

After 11... yeah mathing performance significantly degrades after 11...

@dominicantiguan Thursday October 12. Assuming the 65 day timing continues, add a week to be shipped to you, that gives 72 days. If you plan to leave Dec 23nd, then You have to land on or before October 12 2017.

no my wife landed on May 26th, so exactly 3 weeks after The Profilers! But Carol was in the end of April, 28th if I'm not wrong. But I saw in another thread people getting the PR card 9-10 weeks after landing. CIC states 65 days, then you add the mailing time, so 9-10 weeks fits.

Sadly, last time I looked, it was only a property tax bill... Far less exciting than a PR Card.

Yeah, she has long adjusted. When she first came, she started getting cabin fever because she didn't have the OWP yet. She, somehow, convinced my mom and dad (nearing 70) to help her remodel the kitchen in our house, and even convinced them to paint. All while I was working! Imagine my surprise when I come home to no kitchen counter!

Once she got her OWP, life went back to normal. In fact, I would argue better than normal. She likes to walk our larger dog (the dog I had when she moved in, not the dog she brought here illegally! -- I joke -- he is legal; but jumped the border without the guards even noticing) along the local river. Here, we have green space (and plenty of wildlife in the city). There, it's concrete, steel, and glass. She wouldn't walk nearly as much as she does now.

So, I would have to agree with you. Once you know the routine, it's usually ok no matter where you are.

Because you had a document request, I suspect you're actually going to be processed and land far ahead of that. When is your medical valid until?
