Aren't there lawyers that can help us with this and try to get right answer to what is going on ?
We have lawyers on file, and the answer is no. They know and have access to just about as much information as you and I have. The people that can help are typically members of parliament, but they generally step in once things have exceeded processing times. So if you went for twelve months and no approval, that would be a time to reach out. Also depends on helpfulness of MP, etc.

I am in the same boat as you, Kdd25, abhi1811, rosettebarrera, zhey616.
Application received May 16, got the SMS confirmation and Canadapost confirmation, yet no AOR till now!

I am reluctant to calling them because I know the call center agent won't have any information to help and that they just have general generic information for everyone. I sent them an e-mail, hoping that the person who will respond to this e-mail is an IRCC officer not a call center agent.
App received on May 24, no AOR yet. Called them today, they are still working on 19th May apps. Keep posted.

It doesn't sound like an office that run by Gov and it doesn't sound like an Embassy with official protocols at all. After sending the file you are powerless!! Then if you call them you will understand that, where you have sent your file doesn't have any work system and they don't know what they are saying. According to sammy143 they are working on 20th May application but on the same day they told me that they are working on 19th May application. When you ask for your file's status over the phone they just can't help you because you don't have any AOR yet. They don't have value of our time. They are acting so shady.

Their online GcKey account is a beta system which has so many bugs and errors and they put it live to serve their clients!!! They are just shouting with all these signs that they are bunch of amateurs.
I know we are all impatient. First of all there is a mechanism to know the mail has reached.
There is an unusual high work volume and they are trying to accommodate everyone.
So lets give them the benefit of doubt.
Sure they will make up for lost time

I hope so Tory, why we are so impatient is because important people( wife, husband, children) are away from us and we want everything to go smoothly and as expected. I just can't wait to see my lovely wife, planning to visit her soon but with stressful process i don't know how i can leave. I hope Everything goes smoothly.

Can't agree more.

You don't know that all of us are impatient. This is an important task that should be handled like it is one. Do you think gov just hired some regular guys to think that All of the files will go to one office at once? It is a known fact that there will be high volumed of files coz its all in one place now. These are not just files, Peoples life depends on it. HOW COULD YOU USE "IMPETIEN" LIKE WORDS HERE!!??

Peoples whose files received after me got AOR. At least they should tell us what is going on. They just says wait, they don't even confirm that they have our files, they don't even confirm that they did not return our files. We are kept in dark.

It is easy for you to say coz you can check your file status and don't understand the pain of those who cannot check!!

Lia - is that your name? I honestly understand your frustration but being angry about it does not help. You are one of tens of thousands with applications in. If you get residency within the 12 month timeline then the file has been processed according to timelines. I'm just telling you this because whether or not you're right, it actually doesn't change how the process works. We are further along in our application than you, but especially once it gets sent to a VO, you just wait. That's it. You sit and you wait. And you watch other people around you that applied after you get DM. This is just how it is. Sometimes it hurts, honestly. I get it, I really do. But that being said...The best thing to do is try to stay as positive as possible, because we're all in the same boat, and everyone knows how it feels.

I think this is dramatic, to be honest. This doesn't mean you don't have a right to feel frustration or anxiety, but they're not withholding AOR from you to cause that. For the person above, no, it's not really first come first serve. Some officers will be faster and more efficient at getting through applications assigned to them, so of course there will be out of order AORs. The frustration is just beginning. Someone who applied after me already got DM! It happens at every stage. You just have to be patient and trust in the process as much as you can. Once you have submitted all your documents, you're looking at months upon months of just waiting to hear something. It's tough, but we're all in the same boat :)

Well said

I just read people here receive AOR2 after uploading Schedule A, does that mean you get AOR2 even if you haven't uploaded your police certificate yet just Schedule A?
I also understand the frustration of the people here, they received my application 29th of May but i already received my AOR yesterday, so what they are saying about processing May 20th applications should be taken with a pinch of salt.
