Here's what my RPRF letter said...

"This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."

So I've seen them written a few different ways.
Currently there are two kinds of RERF requests that are sent. One where eligibility is cleared, like your and another there the eligibility is not yet cleared.

Hi legalfalcon. Based on current trends, after how many days of Medical cleared should I request GCMS notes for below issue?

I am worried about my masters degree issued by university mentioning English Translation at top. I sent local language version as well through CSE, however didn't sent affidavit of any translator as both the versions are given by University. What is best time to order GCMS to check if there is any adverse comment on the file regarding this? Current BG status is "We are processing your background check..." since yesterday.
Medicals and the application processing go together and are not dependent on each other. Medicals are reviewed by Health Canada, which the IRCC will process the application.

If you have a ECA for your education, there is nothing to worry. Usually R10 is cleared in about 45 days from AoR and with the R10 the ECA, IELTS are verified on issuing website. This is usually the right time to order the first set. However, at this time the Eligibility will not have been cleared, which usually should be done in the third month.

Hi legalfacon,
I am a PNP outland application and like other PNP applicants, its already been oven three months since aor but there is no update at all, not even medicals passed. So can I assume that R10 is done or is it possible that the application is totally untouched till now.

This shouldn't be an issue, just a goof up. If you see your note 24, which says "Pulled in new med validity for PA on 2017/05/18." Is the date correct? If it is, you are good.
Thank you Legalfalcon,
I don't even know if this date is correct, because in CIC account my Medical check "Passed" some months ago, no more amendment... Glad to hear that it is not an issue

Most likely R10 should have been done. Have you ordered GCMS. If not, then you should. That is the best way to know what is happening in your application. In some rare cases, the application is progressing, but no updates are seen on MyCIC. In some the application is just left untouched, or IRCC is waiting for a document, which the applicant never know as no notification was sent. So GCMS will let you know what is happening.

Dear Legalfalcon,
Is it true that Security check always starts after Eligibility done ?

Should I submit more work experience proofs in order to secure my application, just in case they don’t acknowledge my old work experience ?

Many thanks in advance

It is true that after eligibility the security starts. However, the documents that you have submitted as al that would be looked in and you cannot submit any more documents.

Hi Legalfalcon,

Just want to understand your comment above: The eligibility which needs to be passed before security starts, is that only the eligibility recommended pass or the complete eligibility pass?

Hi Legalfalcon,

Usually "recommended passed" by a case analyst would trigger BGC in progress, but it would depend on where the application is being processed. If it is outland, then the eligibility is usually passed completely before the BGC. However, there are just trends and there is nothing in the regulations for the IRCC to initiate a BGC before the eligibility is passed, just that it would be counterintuitive.

This is because BGC is a complicated process, and if an applicant application is incomplete (R10) it will be rejected. If the applicant is inadmissible on medical, criminality or eligibility grounds, he will be issued a fairness letter. Only after these preliminary steps are complete the BGC starts.

Not all applicants get s.15 or s.16 retracted info. If you do not see it on any of your pages of GCMS then you don't have it.

Hello Legal Falcon

Due date is a system generated date and has no bearing on the processing of the application. I have seen some application being processed way before the due date and for others it take considerably longer.
