Hello everyone,

I just received an email me saying my visa is ready to be issued and they are asking me to mail my passport. I live in Cairo, can I drop my passport to the embassy instead of sending it my mail? Or do I need to mail it anyways?

I am still waiting for it.. no one has called us. Also, no one is currently living at my mother in laws address... one traveled to saudia and the mother is with the sister for a while in Alexandria So I am a bit worried. If they do end up calling me... I'll let you know as soon as possible.. We are now on the second week since we sent it and it was received in the embassy

Ok please let me know . Same thing with mee too . But dont worry i heatd they will email you wheb the visa is issued the the passport is ready . Please update me when u have ur passport back

I would say you have to send it by courier...

Can anyone help got this mail after asking about statues was since month and I submitted my application on October , any hints and if anyone got same

They have to process your new police certificates.

They have just requested my passport and I have the option to send it to Ottawa or to the embassy in Cairo. Do you have an idea about how long the embassy in Cairo may take to stamp the passport and return it back?

That's strange! As omo_lylah said, where are you? If you're already in Canada, send it to Ottawa, otherwise if you are in Egypt, send it to Cairo.
But to answer your question, for my husband, Cairo took 7 days to return his passport.

How approximately will it take to process a spouse sponsorship here in Cairo visa office !! As the application is here in Cairo visa office since April and when I sent them an email asking for the procedure I have to do... they replied that they have recieved my application and it's in the queue for processing....
what are your experience about the period of waiting until I hear from them !!

For my husband, it took 3 months in Cairo visa office.
Don't worry, you should get news soon, your application is in the queue...

Hi guys.

Below is my timeline.

My girlfriend is sponsoring me as an outland application. I am from egypt graduated university in canada and currently on a 3 year work permit in Canada working fulltime.

CIC received my application for permanent residency on October 19th 2016 and they started processing my application on December 15th.

I got my CSQ in Mid Febraury because i am applying from Quebec.

How much longer do you think i will need to wait until i get a response??
