Update: I got my AOR today, but it was actually issued on Feb 27 (Thursday last week). My consultant didn’t send it to me or notify me at the time, and I only received it today after I asked.

I’m a bit disappointed that I wasn’t informed right away, especially since I wanted to follow up on biometrics. The AOR mentions that if the biometrics fee hasn’t been paid, it needs to be paid first before receiving instructions. I don’t think I’ve paid yet, so I’ll be checking on that next.. either way I'm glad my application wasn't returned due to incompleteness or something
Yeah, I made sure to review everything before submission. I get that some consultants do sloppy work, but I personally found mine helpful. Either way, it’s submitted now, so I’ll see how it goes and post updates in case it helps others

Applying for spousal sponsorship: My spouse is in Canada on a PGWP valid till July 2026. Considering inland processing time (28 months) vs. outland (faster).

Can we apply for an OWP with an outland application while he remains in Canada?

If outland is approved, would he receive PPR or eCOPR directly (since he’s physically here)?

Thanks for any insights.
Can do either. Probably that 28 month estimate was a temporary glitch, but we don't know for sure. But no big disadvantage to outland, although health insurance possibly.

yes, can apply for OWP. Yes, they'd still do a virtual landing if he's in country.

I applied for a visa through spousal sponsorship last year 16th March 2024, I have done my biometric and medicals passed and still haven’t gotten any response from the ircc. whenever I called the ircc visa office in Accra to find out what’s going on with my application they just tell me to call the Ghana embassy to ask for my status and when I call the embassy in Accra too they will also tell me they can’t give me any information because ircc doesn’t allow them to share that information on the phone. I wrote several web forms just to get the status of my application because my case has passed the normal processing time. I don’t even know what to do anymore, my rent is due and no one in the Accra visa office is responding to my web form. It’s really frustrating..

Rent is due.. So you need to continue making ends meet regardless you got a response from IRCC or not.
