Did you try to call IRCC by phone to follow up or ask about the delay?
Last year I was in Canada in tourist trip, I tried to call but no answer
Three weeks ago I sent a webform as well as GCMS note
But still no answer received
As my medical exam is set to expire in April, I am concerned because I reside in a European country where the cost for a new exam is quite high (700€ per person). I may need to redo the exam in case of any further delays, and this is causing me considerable worry.

DMZ has Priority processing can consider as best choice

I expected that too, but according to the GCMS notes, that’s not the case.
I also didn’t get a response when asking through the web form.


I got my PAL in early October, along with my GCMS notes.

In the latest note, it states:


However, I submitted my application under Canada’s Tech Network (CTN) around mid-2022.

Has anyone encountered this situation before?

I submitted a web form inquiry asking why my application doesn't qualify for priority processing, but I only received an automated response stating that my application is still under review, without any explanation as to why it isn't prioritized.

Normally I call this number. You have to select (2) to transfer to migration refugees and citizenship Canada. Because this number is for external callers

These are all steps exactly:

Call 001 800 267 6788


1. Press 1 to select English

2: Press 2 to transfer your call to immigration

It will transfer in a second, listen to the recorded message, then start following:


3. Select 2 when asking for your unique identifier number

4. Then press 1 (no need to listen to the recorded voice message).

5. Press 1 again

6. Press 2 to select Permanent resident

7. Press 2 to select the application number starting with E

8. Enter your application number

9. Enter your date of birth

10. Listen to your file status

11. Press 0 to speak to the agent after the file status response finishes.
