Hello, Do you know your POV? My POV is Montreal and they said it takes more time for it.

If anyone's POV is Montreal, can you share the experience and timeline to estimate the Montreal FD's last date they have issued

I have analyzed the pre-arrival letters sent by IRCC and noticed a pattern. It seems that two different pre-arrival letters are issued at different stages of processing:

1. The first pre-arrival letter is sent after Eligibility is passed. It includes the following message:
"We are currently processing your application for permanent residency. You now qualify to receive pre-arrival services to help you prepare for your new life in Canada..."

2. The second pre-arrival letter appears to be sent after Security is passed and contains a slightly different wording:
"We are currently processing your application for permanent residency in Canada. This is a reminder that you now qualify to receive pre-arrival services to help you prepare for your new life... We encourage you to register as soon as possible."

The phrase "as soon as possible" in the second letter might indicate an important milestone in the processing timeline.

I believe this pattern is correct based on my findings, but I would like to confirm it with others. If anyone has received their GCMS notes and can verify this, please share your observations so we can analyze this further.

In my case, there is no note of PAL (Pre-Arrival Letter) in ATIP/GCMS and we got the final decision 16 months from PAL issuance date, however, many other cases have been receiving the golden emails just a few weeks after the PAL ... so it is an unpredictable game with IRCC but it is a good signal with the PAL i must say and you should try to explore these useful services. Best of luck !

Prioritization of applications in the Start-Up Business Class

These Instructions apply to applications for permanent resident visas made under the Start-up Business Class, including those submitted before the coming-into-force date listed in these Instructions.

Applications for permanent resident visas under the Start-Up Business Class, including those received by the Department prior to the coming into force of these Instructions, shall be prioritized for processing if they are supported by a commitment that meets the following conditions:

  • the commitment was made by an authorized venture capital fund (minimum of $200,000);
  • the commitment was made by an authorized angel investor group (minimum of $75,000); or
  • the commitment was made by an authorized business incubator, where the authorized business incubator is either a member of Canada’s Tech Network (CTN) or has committed a minimum of $75,000 to the applicant or applicants’ start-up proposal.

Applications that are not supported by a commitment that meets one of the above conditions will be processed following those that are prioritized, on a first-in, first-out basis, as annual admissions (levels) space allows.

I got my PAL in early October, along with my GCMS notes.

In the latest note, it states:

"As per the Ministerial Instructions (MIs) published on May 4, 2024, applications that are not supported by a commitment that meets one of the conditions stated in the MIs will be processed following those that are prioritized, on a first-in, first-out basis, as annual admissions (levels) space allows. This application will be processed once all applications that meet the prioritization criteria have been processed."
However, I submitted my application under Canada’s Tech Network (CTN) around mid-2022.

Has anyone encountered this situation before?

I submitted a web form inquiry asking why my application doesn't qualify for priority processing, but I only received an automated response stating that my application is still under review, without any explanation as to why it isn't prioritized.

Hi there
I wonder if the result you got in your GCMS note were shown the same in your GCKey account ?
I still haven’t received the note results, but I checked my GCKey account, and it shows only my medical passed and other steps are processing.
Btw whenever I receive the note response, will share it here
Thanks
Wish you and everyone in chat great success
