So I applied in 2019 to the pool to sponsor both my parents, back then I was with a common in law relation (just a girl friend, no marriage, no kids), so she did co-sign with me as well (even though I did not need her, since I exceeded the minimum financial requirements, please do not judge on that, its the past ...).

When I got selected in the pool in 2023, we were seperated (so I was single again), did apply officially to IRCC just myself, and put an explanation letter obviously and just my documents since I were single ( I am still single), and again obvisouly I was fullfiling the financial requirement even by being single + 2 parents = so family member number is 3 !!!

They check 2020, 2021 and 2022 years for money, and the officer this WEEK, HE BASED HIS CALCULATION ON A FAMILY OF 4 !!!!!! INSTEAD OF 3, like he count her even though we are not in a relationship anymore, and I did not ADD HER income ANYWAY in the official 2023 application ... CONSEQUENCE I do not fullfill requirement for 2022 based on 4 people, BUT WE ARE ONLY 3 + I did not add her income obvisouly since we are not together any more. AND YES I DO fullfil financial requirement for 3 PEOPLE so me and both parents for all the years.

So last week officer sent letter than i do not quality for 4 people and they will cancel my application !!!!

He obvisouly made a mistake, I need some legal texts and acts on IRCC to show him, he is wrong, but I need texts, proof from IRCC website or somethere to challenge him ASAP please : (

This does NOT make any sense, to add my ex in our family, knowing that she is not family member anymore + her income was NOT included.

May be you can write an explanation letter with this information and appeal to reopen your PGP file

I tired linking file after i received AOR, it says your file is already linked check submitted application section

One thing you did not clarify, if you were in a marital relationship for 2020, 2021 and 2022. Than they will count a family of 4, only way to prove that you are no longer married in 2022 is by providing the finizied divorce letter now if you divorce was finalized in 2023 than you need to provide them the details and ask to reevaluate.

I would ask a certified IRCC agent who can help. I was in a similar situation.

One thing you did not clarify, if you were in a marital relationship for 2020, 2021 and 2022. She was just my girl friend (not wife), we ended the relationship in mid 2023.
Well, she was never a co-signer + they did not count her income, so why count her as a person and make it a 4 family member.

Plus they could have asked for income of 2023 and 2024 which will be more accurate since a lot of years passed.

what is a certified IRCC agent ?

I suggest talk to an immigration lawyer / expert and seek proper procedural guidance on how to re-open rejected / cancelled applications. Just making multiple representations based on public opinion, you may further complicate the cause..

Hello guys, I have a question about PPR. My parents currently live in Canada on supervisa, Do we need to submit passport in India VFS? or can we submit Passport in canada somewhere? My parents have not receive PPR yet but just trying to stay ahead, if they need to fly back to India before the PPR. Thank you.

Did you update IRCC after you've moved to BC? Also do you meet the requirement (LICO) of non-Quebec sponsor? The PGP LICO is different from the federal amount as far as I remember.

By the time I submitted the application (last year), I had already moved to BC. So i started the PR application with my BC address. But just cause my letter of intent to sponsor was from quebec, they've sent my case to the Montreal office.

I called IRCC today and the guilt is back ... Up until this point we saw that applications were picked up randomly (from submission date point of view), today the agent told me that now they are picking up the applications in the order received! Request is if somebody receives the AOR/ADR in the coming days, please let us know and share date you submitted your application. I submitted on 29th July so just wanted to have a rought idea. Guilt is back, I wrote, because I could have applied a few weeks sooner!

Hi! Also submitted late July and haven’t received any communication whatsoever. Can you please tell me how you were able to connect with an IRCC agent, the voice prompts require an application number which i still don’t have since i haven’t received an AOR yet. Thank you!!
