Hi, I've received the citizenship test invitation earlier this week saying I can start my test on Jan 30. When I tried to login, an error saying "You can’t take the test right now". Both my husband and I also experienced the same error and we are sure we have typed the wrong application # and UCI.

Anyone experiencing same issue?

Try again today. It might be a timing issue with the system... if you tried sortly after midnight, you might be in a different timezone than the app so it's may still be the 29th.... I usually wait a day or 2 when I'm given a timeframe just to make sure things have funneled through.
If you can't get in today, call IRCC because it's the 31st and 1 day after your testing window started.

Also, go here and read through the detailed instructions on how to access the test

Thank you! What number to call if the problem persists today? Thank you

Call the IRCC Call Centre (1-888-242-2100), from within Canada only, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm local time, except for statutory holidays). Prepare to wait on hold for some time. Try calling early in the morning or use a speakerphone

I have the same issue, messaged <IRCC.CitOnlineTest-TestenligneCit.IRCC@cic.gc.ca> .They said they have informed the office which sent the test. The Office would cancel it and send it again ASAP.

Hi guys, I’m not sure if anyone has experience with this, but I just want to clarify something. I got a GU on the 25th, and my application status changed to "background complete" on 27.01. However, at the top of the page, under the "updated" section, the last updated date shows as 29.01. Does this mean there was another GU on the 29th, or is this update related to the background check update on the 27th?
Did anyone else experience this? What was the outcome?
Just to be clear, I’m simply curious about how the IRCC system works and what might be going on.
Hey! exactly sane boat, AOR 2nd Dec, GU 25th Jan, tracker updated to test in progress n test dateson 28th jan, another GU on 29th, no updates for tht so far. I was thinking it is updated on 29 th because i got the email with instructions about the test later on on the 29th evening (Gu was early morning). But i was told GU are only for updates shown on the tracker and not for emails!

nothing has changed yet im hoping mine is BG and hoping urs is ztest in progress snd its details! Do let me know once you get any info on ur file!

Hi everyone I have a question.
I recently renewed my passport while my Canadian citizenship application is still in process. My background check and test are already complete. I would like to know if I need to submit my new passport details via the webform or is no action is required on my part if anyone has from his/her experience knows anything about this please let me know.

Hey guys. I’m just wondering if someone can let me know in the spreadsheet tracker what is the Test Interview date cell referring to?

I don’t think I got an interview just an invite.

The test interview date refers to when you took the test. Originally, the test was an in-person activity followed by an interview. However, it was later replaced with an online test, with interviews conducted only for a select few. The spreadsheet still uses the old nomenclature.

Ok makes sense. Thank you for the reply!

I received my test invitation email, the test section in the tracker changed to “in progress” but everything else is also “in progress”, (minus the oath which is “not started”). It seems like a lot of people had something already completed before they received their test invit. Is this weird or am I overthinking this?
