background check is the longest step and it's different for everyoneHello everyone
I applied for sponsoring my spouse (outland) on Dec 2nd and on Jan 17th, medical was completed/passed, previously biometrics were completed, sponsor and spouse eligibility was completed, pre arrival letter was received. Currently, tracker is showing Background verification 'In progress' and medical, biometric and eligibility as 'completed'.
Can you please guide how long background verification usually takes and are there any other steps?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks. Yes, I am grateful for the fast processing.background check is the longest step and it's different for everyone
your application is moving fast so be patient
background check is long especially if you have travelled or lived in different countries .. so yes they will check all of thoseThanks. Yes, I am grateful for the fast processing.
I am curious to learn whats incorporated in Background verification process? We have provided police certificates from different countries, does it include verification of those certificates and an additional advanced check of someone's background?
Thanks
Geeze, does this mean that every country we have traveled to in the last 10 years will be checked? That will take forever.background check is long especially if you have travelled or lived in different countries .. so yes they will check all of those
i'm not sure about such "automatic appointment" in IndiaI have a urgent question. We just got our Biometric letter.
We weren’t aware that the time slot would be automatically assigned, and we just received an email stating that our appointment has been booked for 24th January. PA is in India. So basically its almost 23rd there. Unfortunately, this short notice makes it challenging for ur to travel as its in a different state. We just have a day to reach there seems imposible at this point.
We noticed in the FAQ section of the email that if we cannot attend the scheduled appointment, we can request a reschedule after five business days. We are considering this option but wanted to get your input on whether rescheduling might have any negative impact on our application.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could provide guidance on this matter at your earliest convenience.
