Submitted 29th Dec
AOR 17th Jan

However, got a strange request, asking for payment for Biometrics. No instructions to do the biometrics. GCkey already shows biometrics valid for another 10 years which was done for TRV last year. Not sure why IRCC requires new biometrics fee and need to do biometrics again.

When you guys got BIL did you get a letter to for payment first and then the biometrics instructions or was it together?

I guess, the next step is waiting, till IRCC has finished your BG. This could take a bit longer then the rest but that's all not 100% sure.
Yes, tracker and GCkey account can show various stages of the process.

All the best for you!

Did you get Biometrics fee request and instructions to do biometrics together in one email? or was it fee first then the instructions?

No, not even in the same account but at the same day.

(1) Biometrics request letter came as a message to my GCKey account.
In the letter was a notice, that the fees were already paid.

(2) Payment request of biometric fees was in the timeline of the App tracker.
I had decided, that this was not relevant to me, because of (1).

:)

Guys I have two questions-
  1. Is Immitracker trustworthy?

  2. Can anyone point me to a source that shows how long it takes to get approval if the principal applicant is in India?

1. yes if you trust people’s input, it’s purely a platform for everyone to share their progress freely, no one is there to validate any of those input data

I’m feeling really anxious because I still haven’t received confirmation about PA Eligibility. Everyone I know who submitted their application around the same time has already received theirs, and the waiting is starting to feel unbearable. I did get sponsor approval last week, which gave me some hope, but now the silence from IRCC is making me even more nervous.

Should I reach out to IRCC to check on the delay? I don’t want to seem impatient, but at this point, I’m genuinely worried. What would you recommend I do?

Hey chandanabanerjee, I guess, there is no need do worry at this point. Sometimes it goes fast and sometimes it takes a bit longer. As far as I know, it is just about the general eligibility for the category spouse or common law partner.
I understood, the decision of being eligible as a PR will be made and communicated much later after background check.
:)
PS: Did it work out with your medical appointment?

Yes :). I forgot to tell you that. We did biometrics on 4th feb and medical on 5th feb.

I've noticed that some people are receiving their approvals within six months, while others are getting theirs even faster—sometimes in just 3–4 months. It makes me wonder what percentage of applicants are approved within these shorter timeframes. Is there a reliable source where I can check the actual processing time statistics or approval rates?

Sorry, unfortunately I don't know such statistics. But I've found a long interesting post while sniffing around in an other forum. This explains a lot about so many questions that I've read here. Hopefully I'm allowed to post that link here.
