Visitor Visa Passport Stamping 2024 - India

Same here there is no update yet. I had flight on 22th Jan now I rescheduled it already for Feb 5.Same story and I have flight on 29th Jan
I received PPR for the visitor visa application for both of my parents on 5th December 2024. I sent both of passports via 2 way courier facility on 10th December. Both of passports received by IRCC office, New Delhi on 17th December. After so long i got review of eligibility Email from ircc for both of the applications on 13 January, 2025. After that one of passport which was my mother’s passport got dispatched on 15th January and delivered on 17th January. It has validity till the passport expiry which is 16/01/2034. But the main thing i just want to share and also know if any other person faced also. The matter is like i already mentioned that I received “Your eligibility has been reviewed” message for both of the applications and my mother passport received successfully. Apart from it on 15th January I received another similar mail regarding my father’s application once again like “Your eligibility has been reviewed”. At that time i was unaware about anything. I just assumed that it is just a verification. On 17th my father’s passport was also dispatched and I received this today evening. I was shocked after what i saw. The passport stamping done only till the validity till 30/11/2025 while passport is supposed to expire on 23/06/2034. I received trv for only 11 months validity. Please help me and suggest me what should i do now. Because it was a group application and my mother received full validity visa but my father received only for 11 months.
The reason I asked the question was because I heard few months back there was a policy change on visitor visa to limit issuing visa till passport validity date.
However, what happened in your scenario is absurd but not unique. I have faced samed situation before. I am applying for my father cause 3 yrs back, he was provided only 2 year visa and my mother got till passport validity. Both application were together and ppr request came together but visa validity different.
I have a theory that my father got visa for limited duration probably because he served in military before. Not sure if your father has a similar background

Cannot do anything, and why do you want to do anything? Your father can travel to Canada along with Mon within next 11 months. If he wants to travel after 11 months, then your father again needs to make application for visa, and this time it will be just your father applying.
Should i raise a web form mentioning that i applied visa before IRCC issues new policy so expiry date should be same as my mother. What is your opinion?
Visa duration issue is at discretion of the visa officer. There is no ground to contest it.

For multiple-entry visas, officers may decide to issue the visa with a validity period shorter than the maximum (10 years or the expiry of either the passport or biometrics, whichever comes first).
Some factors to consider:
Is there a short-term purpose for the visit, for example, a business visitor providing after-sales support as part of a warranty or sales agreement?
What is the applicant’s status in their current country of residence? Will their ties to their country of residence and to Canada change over time?
Are economic or political conditions in the applicant’s home country unstable?

Let’s suppose my father’s visa will expire in November, 2025. After that if i apply the visa for my father again, what are the chances whether i will get full validity or the same short term validity. What you suggest?
