Congrats!! Did your application status update on the PR Renewal portal or still says submitted?Submitted my PR card renewal online on July 25th and received my card in the mail on August 9th.
So happy with the quick turnaround.
I read some posts from before suggesting to use 'inspect element' on the browser to check values. FYI, I did try that out of curiosity and it said My primary identity document is missing and application is rejected. I don't think it means much as to what is in those values.
When submitting my application, the portal indicated my picture was not bright. Editing the brightness on the digital photo solved that problem.
Thank you! It indeed does say 'Submitted' still.Congrats!! Did your application status update on the PR Renewal portal or still says submitted?
Why would you rely on some inspect tool ? just link it to gckey and track.Hi,
I applied for a PR card renewal for my wife on July 16th. We are going on a trip (Sept 15th - Oct 22 ) and her PR card expires on 11th October.
Was getting anxious about this whole process so have called the customer center a few times and they said its "under process".While searching online, I came across this forum and learnt about the "inspect tool" to check status.
I see the status on the inspect tool
{
"id": 23,
"rejectionReasonEn": "Incomplete application",
"rejectionReasonFr": "Demande incomplète",
"documentTypeId": null,
"createdAt": "2024-07-22 14:51:51.481296",
"updatedAt": "2024-07-22 14:51:51.481296",
"phaseId": 3,
"rejectionDetails": "Your photos do not meet the specifications (poor image quality, smiling/teeth showing, shadows, light glare, head not straight to camera) – please review Guide IMM5445"
}
But also,
{
"id": 20,
"statusEn": "Completed",
"statusFr": "Complété"
}
I am a bit confused now.. is it rejected and we need to upload a new photo? But the status was updated on 22nd July and we never received any email for this. Also, the status says completed - not sure what to make of it. Did anyone else have a similar issue?
I dont think you ever will receive update on PR portal, better bet is to link to gckey - https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/linking-pr-card-application-to-track-pr-card-after-landing-flagpole-landing-interview-is-complete.617040/Curious how is that different from the PR portal.. Would I not receive updates from that as well?
Hi, Can you please elaborate what is meant by inspect?Submitted my PR card renewal online on July 25th and received my card in the mail on August 9th.

Editing to add, I tried linking my application using the methods in here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-status.html
None of them worked. It would always come back saying my application could not be found.
Did you put any note like its urgent or its a normal process?Submitted PR Card renewal for Mother on July 22, 2024 online

Please don't use this browser hack. It's demonstrably unreliable. Calling it 'inspect' doesn't mean anything, it's just looking at raw html code, which - if it's not updated - has zero reliability.Hi, Can you please elaborate what is meant by inspect?
Thanks a lot.Please don't use this browser hack. It's demonstrably unreliable. Calling it 'inspect' doesn't mean anything, it's just looking at raw html code, which - if it's not updated - has zero reliability.
Apart from 'apply early and wait before buying tickets'?Any suggestions please
