I came back to In
How long have you been out of the country? Are you on authorized leave? Your study permit may come invalid if outside Canada for too long.
I came back to India in April end and am still enrolled in classes and doing them online. My application has been submitted since May 10th.

I left during summer break, so I did not need to apply for authorized leave, and my classes only started in September. My faculty is aware of my situation with my TRV and I have a valid study permit until August 2025. Should I be worried?

Well any studying outside Canada doesn’t count towards PGWP. You are missing a whole semester and not in Canada. When does your study permit expire?

I will not be applying for a PGWP. I'm only studying there and returning to my home country after.

Hi Everyone, can someone please share their experience in visitor visa processing under CAN+ category from India (without USA visa).

My employer applied for my CWP and Spouse visitor record on 25th May and it got approved on 8th Nov. My current status is on CWP and wife is on visitor status. I requested for Spouse OWP restoration on 25th Oct. The current status of SOWP is showing as "Eligibility review not started / Background check in progress".

I have reached out to IRCC to request them if the background check done during visitor record can be reused here since it has not been over a month.

Secondly, I am planning to travel in Jan'25 and apply for her visitor visa from India under CAN+ category(since she already has had OWP in Canada and has valid visitor record as well) so that she can travel back in couple of months. I have been reading mixed reviews about it though. Can someone please share their experience in visitor visa processing in this category.

Please advise what would be the right course of action in this situation.
1. Should I wait for her OWP and get TRV before leaving.
2. Apply for TRV from India and hope that it gets processed under CAN+
