Hi Guys,

@Parwaz @ps123 @res952 @jessoabr

Have any of you heard back any update from CIC on your applications. I see from the spreadsheet that we all filed our applications on around the same time i.e last week of July.
I filed on July 26. I have not heard back anything yet. I tried to link my application with the GCKEY account , but even that cannot find my application.

Let me know if you guys have any updates.
Thanks
Regards
Mahyn

Hi, I have a similar situation. My dad worked in UAE from 2003-2008. So we are going to apply for PCC from Dubai Police. It can be applied online with Emirate ID, However, as my dada does not have an Emirate ID (It was not available at that time when he lived there). We contacted Dubai Police and they asked for finger prints taken at home country and attest it by the UAE embassy and send it to Dubai Police HQ for issuance of PCC.

Just wondering for your case, did you also need to send finger prints to Dubai Police? If so, how long it took for them to issuing PCC after you have sent the fingerprints?
Your response is highly appreciated!
No problem happy to help as best I can. My parents lived there again from 2008-2019 thus had emirates ID so for dubai no issues with PCC.

for Qatar I’m still trying to figure it out how to start getting the police certificate as they didn’t have a Qatar id when they were there back in 96 only copies of residence visas in their old passports. To make things more complicated we estimated the dates of stay from memory initially to list in their resume/ forms when we initially submitted the app.
Now the “to” “from” dates listed on the Qatar police certificate( I checked templates on google it has to/from) which are taken from the “to” “from” dates on residence visas won’t match potentially. We have asked a relative back home in Pakistan to go to our house there and try to retrieve old
Copies of passports to scan and send to us in Canada. My parents are currently in Canada on supervisa.
I’m worried sick as how I’m going to manage all this.

Thanks for sharing your part of the story. I hope you get those issues sorted out soon. I am having same sickness around the UAE PCC. Getting the fingerprints from their country of residence then verifying it by UAE Embassy, sending it back to Dubai and then wait for the PCC making me sick :) Fingers crossed!
