I updated my address.

Timeline:
PR - 9 months still processing
Feb 22: Submitted
Mar 08: AOR 1 sent to Sponsor
Apr 04: BIL
Apr 05: SA
Jul 22: AOR 2 sent to PA
Aug 28: MIL
Sep 01: Medical Passed
Oct 28: Pre-Arrival
Nov 09: Landed in Canada on TRV and given 1 year visitor record.
Nov 12: Background and Eligibility completed on tracker.
Nov 13: Updated address to Canada using webform.

Everything is shown as completed now on tracker. I am assuming my application will be treated like inland now, right?
Outland will be PPR. What about inland? How does it usually go?
Great !
Wait for portal requests and then you will receive your PR card soon fingers crossed

Thank you! As of today, I can see my COPR number on the tracker but no portal request yet. I suppose I just need to wait. What about you? Any update?

You should receive Portal emails soon. These are part of your virtual landing process where they ask you to confirm your details, upload your photo for your PR card and after that your receive ECOPR.
Sorry, is e-COPR and COPR different? I saw my COPR number on the tracker.

different, e-COPR is the document to confirm your PR status, COPR number is simply a number for administrative purpose
you're not a PR until you get your e-COPR (virtual landing inside Canada) or COPR hard copy (together with visa stamping outside Canada) landed in Canada

Hello there. My wife's application for the spousal PR was submitted Feb 20th, 2024. After which things moved pretty quick, by end of April Medicals and Bio were given. But since then there has been no progress from what I can see. I am starting to get worried. Is this timeline normal ? What are our options here.

It’s normal , your probably in background check which is normally long.. it will go dead silence and then you get updates. Some cases are different , I see some getting through very quick. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hello everyone, please advise what to do in my situation.
We applied for sponsorship of spouses and without waiting for the AOR we applied for a visitor visa, 3 days before the decision on the visitor visa the AOR arrived, we sent this AOR by mail as proof that our application for sponsorship was accepted for consideration. But the visitor visa was refused.
Are my assumptions correct that the officer looked at the application for a visitor visa and there was no AOR attached, and they did not have time to see the letter that was sent. I read information that you need to apply for a visitor visa after you receive the AOR.
There is one reason for the refusal:
• I am not sure that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as required by
paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/reg ... -2002-227/
section-179.html). I am rejecting your application because you have not proven that you will
leave Canada based on the following factors:
• You do not have significant family ties outside of Canada.

If I apply again, will I be rejected for this reason again? Please respond.
Naturally, I do not plan to leave Canada because we applied for sponsorship and my wife (PR) and my biological son (Canadian citizen) are in Canada.
