I mean to ask, whether he reached out to his local constitution MP in India requesting to send an inquiry on his visa status.
OR
Reached out to MP of province he applied in Canada.

No canadian MP who is local to my college or in the same province.

Depends on where you live, have lived, citizenship, and program. Most likely people in public DLIs are being processed before private DLIs. Private DLIs are notorious for no admission requirements and only international students go there. IRCC is cracking down on those approvals.

Well, currently I live in Mumbai, used to live in Dubai and my program is Masters in Cybersecurity from Newyork institute of Technology, Vancouver. I know a few people who have applied and they got their decisions which were indeed positive however I still havent. Is it because of the number of webforms which I have raised?

Well, SDS is dead because it closed yesterday. And has been dead for a long time. The government just didn’t announce it. Plus with all the changes to PALs, and private DLIs being in the news then private DLIs are under more scrutiny.

Sending many webforms can slow your file down. Usually you send one after processing time has past for your country. SDS timelines have not been followed since pre Covid.

i need help, i applied for January 2025 intake. After getting PPR , I submitted my passport for stamping. My passport reached at IRCC on 5 nov 2024, it is still showing application under process. My college deadline is 1 Dec 2024. What should I do? is there any chance of defer? please guide

Talk to your school and tell them you got approval and waiting for passport stamping. Ask for guidance.

I had raised 5 webforms for concern and 1 was for after the defer. What do you suggest I do next?

You have waited so long then I would wait for a reply. Ask School when is the last date you can start the January semester. If no response by mid December then again call school and ask about next steps (defer, withdraw application)..

I submitted an online application on 16th August 2024 for the study permit. Below are the current updates as of today (4th Sep 2024).

Country: India
Visa office: New Delhi (I believe)
Applied for college in: Toronto

Upfront Medicals completed: 02 August 2024
Study permit application submitted online : 16 August 2024
Biometric request received: 17 August 2024
Biometric provided : 20 August 2024
Biometric status updated as complete on the application portal: 21 August 2024
Eligibility review: Not started
Medicals: Not updated
Background check: In Progress

Can any in the same boat please share your timelines/experience here, which would be helpful for everyone. Thank you!
