Hi,

This is probably already answered, but I couldn't find the answer. Anyone who has done a similar application please advise.

Applying for minor (18 months old) born in Canada
Both parents Canadian Citizens and OCI holders

Q1. On the online application - signature of applicant (minor section) do both parents need to sign or just the one who is going to BLS with paperwork?

Q2. All docs parents docs are self attested by respective parent and all child's documents are attested by both parents, is this right??

Planning to carry attested copies of all docs from checklist+ originals any other advice is welcome.

yes both parents needs to sign as I confirmed it by bls and yess all docs needs to self attested mother should do her docs and father do same as well and on child’s docs both parents need to attest and the common docs in parents both should self attested

Also include the NoC form for the minor's OCI application
https://www.blsindia-canada.com/toronto-jurisdiction/pdf/no-objection-letter.pdf This has to be signed by both parents and they have to included their photographs

As I applied for oci for my minor but that is still in process so can i able to travel on e visa …i mean that doesnt effect on the oci process???

yeah...got an acknowledgement too.. hopefully, it goes through before all hell breaks loose..

yes just before payent, not any specific error just says error occured. I called the number on website, they said website under maintaince, so hopefully it will go through.

Date of Acknowledgement: September 23, 2024
Document Printing Status: Processed on October 15, 2024

Great, error went away around 12am EST, so hopefully tonight it will get through.

• In-person appointment at BLS Toronto - Sep 3
• Acknowledgement Date: Sep 11
• Document Printed at Delhi MEA: Oct 3
• OCI dispatched from Delhi MEA: Oct 4
• OCI arrived at BLS Toronto: Oct 11
• Dispatched by BLS via Purolator: Oct 11 (Friday)
• Delivered to home via Purolator: Oct 15 (Tuesday) (Purolator Express doesn't deliver on weekend and thanksgiving holiday)

Total days from acknowledgement in Toronto - 34 days
Total days from walk-in appointment in Toronto - 42 days
