Did you already get the Tracking number? IT should appear on the BLS site at the bottom when you track with your passport number.

I opted for pickup so Vancouver will send my OCI to Edmonton and then they will change the status to Ready for pickup. I am just not sure where is my OCI card.
After Date-Of-Acknowledgement[24th July 2024], no update until the next status which was Document Printing/Dispatched From MEA/Document Received At which was 4th Oct 2024.
Based on multiple comments/updates from other users, looks like this is the usual timeline for Vancouver Jurisdiction.
On 17th July 2024, I submitted my application at Calgary BLS as a Walkin and over OCISERVICES.GOV.IN.
My status was updated on 24th July 2024. I feel as soon as they receive & accept the application they update the Date-Of-Acknowledgement.
Mine OCI printed & processed & received at Vancouver on Oct 4th 2024, BLS Status Dispatcahed via courier on Oct 7th 2024 and received at home on Oct 9th 2024.

Do they drop in mailbox or need the applicant to be present with ID? I will be in India when my OCI would be delivered. Asking if anyone else can take it on my behalf
They don't drop in the mailbox, they will do in-hand delivery, and sometimes they check for ID too but not always. For my OCI delivery, they just asked the name as looks like any adult applicant can receive it [in my case, I had a family application].
You can check on this thread if someone else can receive it and if there is a process defined. Check on the Purolator website/contact customer service.
I submitted OCI application for my son on 9 October. No update on OCI website yet. Looks like it takes a couple of weeks to reflect there.
how to fill the place of birth
i) Indian passport- "chennai, tamil nadu"
ii)Canadian passport "chennai IND"

Put only "Chennai".
- If you put Tamil Nadu, it will conflict and BLS will deny.
- If you put India, it will make India appear twice and again, BLS will deny...
Just put "Chennai" only. I am 100% sure about it.
