Got this email today !!
Hi ,
Did you get your passport or you will have to wait for 15 days?
Dear Visa Applicant,
U.S. Embassies and Consulates are operating at reduced capacity and currently have only limited resources available to process visa applications; therefore, the time required to process a visa application and print an approved U.S. visa is taking longer than normal. Depending on the visa that you are applying for, it may take several weeks (up to 10 weeks in the case of B1/B2 BCC Border Crossing Cards) to process your visa.
After submitting your visa renewal documents or attending a visa interview appointment, you can track the status of your visa application at:
https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC.
Your visa documents will not be turned over from the consular section to the courier for delivery UNTIL the status of your visa application appears as "Issued". You should receive an email notification with instructions on how to claim your documents within the next 15 working days after the status has changed from “APPROVED” to “ISSUED”.
The time that it takes to process a visa application is at the sole discretion of the Consular Section considering that they are operating at reduced capacity; therefore, we cannot provide an estimate on when your visa application will be processed and ready for pick up. Rest assured that the Consular Section is processing your visa application as quickly as possible and you will receive an email notification as soon as you need to take action on the next steps.
Sincerely,
The Contact Desk Support Team.
