Hi, did anyone get any update from the consulate recently? I shipped my document on 10th September. Application received on 18th September. One Ghost update on 24th September, but the status still shows the application received till today.

It is not a deniel. They called me for an interview. Issued a 221g but no additional documents required. Only interview. It is scheduled for Oct 11.its a denial wait for the letter where they will explain.
I have an interview scheduled for Oct 11. I am nervous. Will update you whats happeneingdid you scheduled the follow up appointment? Could you share what they asked and why refused during the interview? Mine is at Nov 1 and will share the same.
Hey did you go for dropbox then? Was it approved?Can you go for dropbox for H4 if your previous visa was H1B? Previous H1 was also issued in Vancouver via dropbox last year. Have PR ofcourse that would make us eligible. Also the CEAC website says dropbox eligible. Just trying to figure out if they'll call for an interview in case of a change of visa type.

from 2 hours to 2 weeksHey guys, I applied last week and was approved for dropbox , and was placed in a virtual queue. Any idea theses how long does it take to get the instructions email for Vancouver?
General question: I am a PR of Canada and eligible for dropbox. I currently reside in the US and have trip to India planned on Dec 11th. I have already submitted DS-160 and paid the fees as well. Got the instructions email too. I have 2 options and wondering which one is safer:
1. I was planning on traveling to Canada in few days and get the visa stamped. Then travel back to US and fly to India on Dec 11. This gives me about 3 and a half weeks and I am not entirely sure if thats enough. This is my first dropbox so not sure about the timelines.
2. Fly to India on Dec 11 from US. Fly to Canada from India at the end of December. Get the visa stamped and later enter US whenever I receive my passport.
I am pretty sure, but also want to confirm that my DS-160 and the "Instruction email" from us-visa.info will still be valid until the end of the December if I choose option 2. I am aware that DS 160 has a 1 year validity, but not sure if there is any such validity on the Instruction email thing which you get from us-visa.info.
