Trying to find some help here. I am currently work holder permit and will expire on October 24 2024. I just applied lastweek a visitor visa to extend my stay. But since the new policy was changed and i can no longer connvert tourist to work permit. I am planning to withdraw my application. Can someone give me some advice if it's the right thing to do? Please.Thank you in advance

You could never convert a visa in the first place. How are you extending your work permit? What type of work permit?

I'm currently holding a closed work permit as seasonal worker. Last year before my work permit expires i applied visitor visa so i can stay legally here in canada while waiting for my next season in the employer. Then that's what they do. They processed my paper as tourist to work permit so i could come back to the same employer. That's why i thought i can do it again this year. But suddenly new policy of IRCC has changed. So im seeking advice if can stil withdraw my application?

So you mean you applied for a visitor record (not TRV) to extend your stay, Sure you can withdraw it.

Yes it's visitor record. Do you know how long it will take? And it won't affect my new application if ever?
