Im also waiting for portal request, so I could send . Ircc agent told that wont be any other letter for passport request and vfs will probably hold the passport until my landing is done .
Great, you can submit then. My wife's passport is at the IRCC office in Delhi now. I too have a notion that IRCC office in Delhi will probably follow up with the Canadian counterpart and trigger the portal emails for me. Hopefully this happens. I will update if I hear from IRCC.

My wife submitted the passport in person. required: VFS consent form, original passport, request for visa letter, 2 passports with the photo studio stamping on the back of the photos. You need to write the name and date of birth I think (details in the RFV letter). VFS asked my wife to opt for courier return of the package.

Thanks , I will do the same

@ArunKK As RFV letter doesn’t have name of my spouse, they won’t be any problem at vfs accepting the passport right ???

I don't know. In my case, the RFV letter had both of our names and the letter was specifically addressed to my wife.
